Obama took to the podium on Wednesday after the midterm elections and made it clearer than ever that he lives in his own universe. Americans sent the message loud and clear that they reject his policies and the Democrat platform as it currently stands, yet Obama drove the message home that even with a Republican Congress in control, he would continue to push his extremely unpopular liberal agenda.
The wellbeing of Americans has never been the top priority in Obama-land, and his arrogant-selfishness was the resounding sentiment throughout his misguided press conference.
In Obamas mind there may as well not have been a midterm election at all. No matter who is in control of Congress, Barack Obama is going to do whatever he darn well pleases through Executive Orders, and no one can tell him otherwise. Although he says I hear you to those who voted on Tuesday as well as those who chose not to vote, Obama doesnt hear anything that goes against his own liberal agenda. Now that Republicans control Congress, they must pass legislation that will dry up President Obamas veto pen. The new Republican majority must show who the real obstructionist is President Obama.

I don’t know what you are, but I’m a guy and it weirds me out every time, male or female. Maybe I’m so old the women don’t think there’s any chance I would misconstrue it.
He’ll get Crazier as his 15 minutes comes to an end
Yeah, I read it after posting, coulda worded it better, sheesh. I’m a old guy wistfully hoping for a little female misconstruation. Of course, I knew of the invisibility of 30-something men to college girls, back in the 80’s [at least for the most part]. ;)
Bet he knows who his handlers are.
Watching this narcissist FAIL over the next 25 months is going to be fun.
“His early background and subsequent training predicted this sort of result. Shame on America and double shame on the MSM for being taken in by it all.”
::::::::::
Yes it did and that is why ANYONE with an IQ over 65 and care for America never voted for this disaster. What he was/is was very clear BEFORE he was elected the first time. All of his background was clearly known — especially when he started shoveling dirt over it as fast as he and his attorneys could.
“I hate that expression I hear you. Whenever somebody tells me that, I know he has no intention of taking what I said seriously, his mind is already made up, and I might as well not have said it at all.”
Look at it in the context in which it was said; he said he heard those who voted, AND HE HEARD THE 2/3 THAT DIDN’T. He is making it clear that he saw no repudiation in the losses (since a majority didn’t vote). It was a slap at the American people, the democratic process, and Tuesday’s victors.
“I look at Obama and see the child who missed twenty three shots in a row on the basketball court and then tells you he could be in the NBA. He is living in a fantasy world.”
The affirmative action mindset in a nutshell. At my job a semi-literate co-worker (file clerk) was upset when an experienced accountant retired and she wasn’t chosen to replace her; the fact that she had no relevant experience or knowledge meant nothing to her. She was there longer, so it was “her turn”; at this point I realized she had no idea what the white people around her were doing all day (I guess she thought they were just better-paid file clerks).
Yes, 2/3 of the electorate were suppressed and kept from the polls by lies, distortions, and obstructions manufactured by the enemies of progress. As always, women and minorities were hit the hardest.
Wrong.
It was controlled by the Republicans. In fact, there were 55 Republican senators. Trent "Bendsa" Lott told the House managers he wanted nothing to do with it and torpedoed their efforts.
He hasn’t said that yet, but seems to be representing their lack of participation as approval of him (versus the voters that obviously rejected him). I’d love to see the “women & minorities hardest hit” line used at a time when several Republicans in both groups won...
Barry needs a time to come out of the out in a closet for about a month. Fixed.
” no way would any Democrat today vote for the conviction of Obama. Principles don’t matter with them.”
It’s complicated. They agree with most if not all of his agenda, but recognize the country is not there and the shellacking just received will continue if Obama continues his war on America. There is no way enough Democrat Senators will join any impeachment vote as ultimately it is convicting themselves for their support of unconstitutional actions and policy. As Obama continues to take action stoking the fire, some will become convinced they really need a way out - and there is one that stops short of the time consuming and political war involved in impeachment.
The better way out is to exercise Section 4 of the 25th Amendment, with Democrat leaders recognizing his mental illness as incapaciting.
His narcissism is clouding any ability for him to reason, surely a majority of his cabinet could come together with Biden and declare him unable to discharge the powers and duties of the Office.... While he would immediately send his written declaration that no inability exists the VP and a majority of the principal officers of the executive department (Cabinet) could within four days confirm that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office and let Congress decide the issue by a 2/3 vote of both houses.
Much has been written about the mental state of Obama - and even the press is now questioning his inability to grasp the rejection of his policies (and him personally). It may take an open meltdown of some sort to confirm his mental and emotional inability to function as President, but as Democrats are themselves ready to revolt rather than find themselves totally eviscerated at the next election, they may find the 25th amendment their way out.
Some will argue that this section of the amendment was only intended to deal with physical incapacity such as by stroke or heart attack - but clearly there was an intent that mental problems where the President would try to argue he is not incapacitated while others see that he is was clearly contemplated - thus the second round and decision by the Congress in an expedited fashion being provided for. Howard Baker was given a memo when he became chief of staff suggesting the 25th amendment should be invoked to remove Reagan from office after Iran-Contra due to psychological issues, laziness, ... - all of which have been fully exhibited by Obama. Baker and others observed Reagan and found the allegations meritless - has anyone prepared such a memo regarding the current resident of the Whitehouse.
Quicker and cleaner than impeachment, keeps their policies above the fray, and simply takes out what has only become a liability for the next two years. Yes, we’ll have to deal with Biden as President - but he can’t do nearly the damage to the Democratic party that Obama is doing - so if there are rational minds they ultimately will consider their options.
The only way to deal with him is to ignore him. House and Senate should just continue to pass legislation, send it up for the president’s signature. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. They should hang the name “Do Nothing President” on him. He’ll probably become a recluse.
I love the expression on Cheney’s face in that picture!
“I hate that expression I hear you. Whenever somebody tells me that, I know he has no intention of taking what I said seriously, his mind is already made up, and I might as well not have said it at all.”
+1.
“Yes, 2/3 of the electorate were suppressed and kept from the polls by lies, distortions, and obstructions manufactured by the enemies of progress. As always, women and minorities were hit the hardest.”
You laugh - but I don’t think it’s very funny at all, that people exist who actually and honestly believe this to be true. In Obama’s mind (or what passes for one), his ideas won this election, BECAUSE the people who agree with him stayed home. It isn’t that he is a liar. I have reason to think that this is actually what he believes.
