NAACP: Tillis won because of voter law, not policies

**SNIP**

Putting his own spin on the election results that saw gains for conservative candidates throughout much of the nation, state NAACP President Rev. William Barber said Tillis' "narrow victory" was a repudiation of his policies, not a validation of them.

Barber said there were widespread reports of voting problems – the State Board of Elections said the election ran rather smoothly – and the shortened early-voting period and the elimination of same-day registration affected thousands of North Carolina voters.

"The magnitude of the problem may not be far from the margin of victory (for Tillis)," he said.

The NAACP planned to send letters to Tillis and Gov. Pat McCrory later in the day, asking them for a sit-down meeting to discuss backing off "extremist policies" and becoming more inclusive in their governing.

Yep appears the voters ‘repudiating’ them just enough to get him elected.

Dear Lord, THANK YOU for taking me out of North Carolina! The prog Yankees and the race baiters have about taken it over, and will soil it just like they've already soiled their own nests.

NAACP exists for one purpose, to reinforce group think consensus and enemy stereotypes and threaten those who think or act counter to group consensus.

This is their charter, rendering all other consideration of why they exist or say what they say or do what they do mute.

Ridicule them. Laugh at them. Call them out for what they are. 100% Concentrated No Sugar Added Racists.

It’s the DNAACP. Never forget - The D is the most important invisible letter.

In North Carolina, the requirement that voters show an ID won't go into effect until 2016, assuming it survives court challenges. Senator-elect Tillis (doesn't that sound good?) defeated Senator Hagan by 48,501 votes according to the last tally I saw. So this year, at least, the "voter supression" meme is a FAIL.

And even when/if the Voter ID requirement becomes effective, it seems to me that the allegation that it will curtail the voting of people of color is racist, pure and simple. Is Rev. Barber suggesting that minority citizens are so feckless, so stupid, so lazy that they can't obtain any of many IDs which are available with little or no expense or effort?

Here's the dirty little secret, rarely acknowledged: there are some people who don't want to have an ID. Maybe they've violated parole, or are trying to evade the IRS, or child support, or some other infraction. Let them stay underground, including not voting. Works for me.
