On Thursday, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said it is time for a Republican-led Congress to move an immigration bill forward, so long as President Obama doesn't "burn himself" by enacting executive amnesty before the end of the year.
-snip-
Referring to immigration, Boehner also said that "it is time for the Congress of the United States to deal with a very difficult issue in our society." He noted that immigration has become a "political football" over the last ten years and said it is his personal belief that "it's just time to deal with this."

Send them all home and then we’ll talk about it.
As I said in my original post.
If we remain silent they accept that silence as permission to do anything they damned well please. We’ve turned them around before when we’ve bombed them with correspondence, phone calls, etc., and we can do it again.
Priority on our to-do list should be to let our representatives know our displeasure with leadership of the House, and the Senate, and to get that leadership under new management. That will send one major signal to them all.
Dammit they work for us.
I agree,
Seal the border.
Mandate E-Verify.
We've got millions to remove.......let's get started.
I was one that called Cornyns office until he disconnected his phones and voted for the liberal agenda anyway.
Do you think phone calls are leverage?

The first order of business in the new House is to replace Boehner.
“it is time for the Congress of the United States to deal with a very difficult issue in our society.”
Not so difficult. Finnish the fence and start throwing the illegals over it
NOT just the phone. IF enough of us man the phones, and as I stated already in my original post then yes we can make a difference.
It’s been proven in the past.
And how does that technique work with Sacramento?
/johnny
Road apples.
People burned up the lines about removing the debt limit and Obamacare.
The damned politicians did what they want. They know that they will be re-elected by the 'hold your nose' crowd.

“Please, Mr. President, wait for me. I promise I’ll give you another 12 million votes as soon as Mitch takes over the senate.”
Boehner, you orange-skinned sob-sister. GTFO of my homeland. Find another nation to betray.
You know, if they push amnesty after the election, you will not see a GOP Senate or House again for a long time.
Play both sides by talking out different sides from his mouth. Gotta keep that money gravy train coming.
“Boner falling into the trap right on cue.”
As we expected. He couldn’t even act like a conservative for one week.
Like Cruz said, this election is just a second chance for the republicans. It’s what they do with it that matters.
With so many states raising the minimum wage, I wonder what we will be left with. I would expect “comprehensive” reform to confound circumstances. What will we see of the following:
1) More Americans entering the workforce to take advantage of the higher wages (teens who feel they don’t get paid enough to not play video games), and these displace illegals.
2) Current minimum wage workers (legal and illegal) making incrementally more a week.
3) Illegals still working illegally for less than the minimum wage.
4) Employers being hauled to jail for employing any remaining illegals that didn’t convert to legal status.
“I don’t intend to surrender, I’ll keep doing what I’ve been doing, which includes not voting for liberal republicans.”
Good point. I’ve come to the opinion that our problems are not so much coming from “liberal Republicans” but instead globalized crony capitalist corporate owned Republicans.
The biggest PITA to the globalists is national sovereignty. The biggest threat to our nation is losing our national sovereignty and our Constitution and the right to make laws for our own citizens. We’re losing it over treaties and free trade agreements at the behest of global Chamber of Commerce and corporations that put profit over the now extinct philosophy of “corporate citizenship”.
When US corporations were American, is when conservatism and corporatism were intertwined. With globalism and crony capitalism they are at odds now.
Thomas J. Donohue should be arrested for treason.
The hell with him and his Chamber of Amnesty.
Same with me!
When George W. Bush said that bullcrap, “See you at the signing,” I was moving from one town here in Maine to another.
I had to re-register to vote, and I switched from Republican to Independent.
I always vote GOP anyway, unless they are a RINO. I did a write-in for U.S. Senate on Tuesday....I didn’t vote for Susan Collins. She didn’t need me anyway; she received 68% of the vote.
Yeah McCarthy doesn’t need my vote either. I live in California so get to vote my conscious. My vote doesn’t really matter much. Lol
