Repudiation [GOP should stop "going gay"!]
Canada Free Press ^ | 05 Nov 2014 | Tim Dunkin

Posted on 11/05/2014 9:58:55 AM PST by Yashcheritsiy

To begin with, this election was, generally speaking, a rejection of the notion being advanced by many in the establishment wing of the Party that the Republicans needs to move to the Left on social issues like abortion and gay “marriage.” Earlier this year, GOP establishment leaders like Kevin McCarthy and Paul Ryan announced their plan to begin trying to recruit “Young Gun” candidates – socially liberal, and often homosexual, candidates to run under the Republican banner in an effort to “broaden the appeal” of the Party, especially to younger, socially liberal voters. John Boehner backed this effort, throwing money at the candidates who had been recruited to run this year. However, the voters who were supposed to be impressed by the GOP’s lurch to the Left on “individual choice” issues instead reacted with a collective yawn. In the race for the open seat in Massachusetts’ 6th congressional district, “Young Gun” Richard Tisei - a gay Republican who has a 100% rating from NARAL and Planned Parenthood, who (obviously) supports gay “marriage,” and who is “married” to his “partner” - lost by 15 points to a non-incumbent and relatively unknown Democrat. To give this some perspective, Tisei had ran for the same seat in 2012 against a well-known and long-time incumbent and lost by only a single point. It does not appear that Tisei’s choice to flaunt his peculiar lifestyle choice did him or the GOP any favors this time around...

"What did Matthew say about judging people?"

To judge righteously, lol.

Maybe if the cherry picking stopped and "not that religious" ignoramuses actual understand context the "...see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye" that summarizes the WHOLE point might become clearer.

Also "not that religious people", quit confusing earthly behavioral judgments to eternal condemnation.

The whole verse is : “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. 3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

It's about hypocrites, not about judging. We must JUDGE the difference between right and wrong. Even Jesus judged, "Go. And sin no more" is a judgement. Sin needs to be called sin and not called "being different".

Those anti-FReepers did a whole thread on me a while back, it was quite amusing.

So, let me get this straight.

Do you think Free Republic should provide a forum for and encourage homosexuals to extol the "virtues" of their deviant lifestyle?

If things had been different, though, Republicans would have to figure out what to do about Tisei. But remember that Jim Kolbe and Steve Gunderson were both able to win elections after they were outed.

Nope. The critical difference is that this time around, Tisei was recruited as a candidate specifically because he is gay. That is why they made such a big fuss over him. He should have beat Moulton - after all, Tisei is actually pretty well-known in Massachusetts (former Senate [IIRC] minority leader) and respected in the state. This same state just elected a Republican governour in this same election. Yet Tisei not only lost, but got thrashed.

What did Matthew say about judging people?

He says to judge according to the Word of God.

Yes. It is my suspicion that Tisei lost for that very reason.

Absolutely he did. In fact, ALL of the "Young Gun" candidates SERIOUSLY underperformed. Each one of them did MUCH more poorly in their respective districts than the GOP had done previously, despite this being a massive GOP election.

It is safe to say that social liberalism in the GOP was rejected, not just by the base, but by the voters as well.

Why don't you provide an example from the poster in question?

It appears she falls in line politically with many here, if you care to examine what she said.

I'll wait...

If you need an example of the propaganda BS the homos put out, all you need to do is pay attention to the entertainment industry.
