IMO, most of the reason he plays golf is related to him thinking others will think he’s so cool for playing it.
He’s doing it, because he thinks it’s presidential.
Growing up (which he never did by the way) he thought the Presidency consisted of opportunities for him to implement by edict anything he wanted to do, and to spend the rest of his time in leisure pursuits.
