Nope. Lost in the primary.
Write in.
That would be the green party candidate.

Dewhurst wasn't running for Governor. He was running for re-election as Lt. Governor. He lost, and there was a run-off, and RINO Dewhurst wasn't even in the runoff. Dan Patrick won the runoff for Lt. Governor.
Abbott won the Republican Governor nomination quite handily.

WOAI interviewed Jade Sanford, the voter. She said she tried to vote straight R when Abbott wasn.t on the ballot. She said that tactic just skipped “governor”. She called over two poll workers who closed the booth and took her to another booth which functioned correctly.
Jackie Callen, who is in charge of Bexar County elections said it was obvious Sanford faked the photo. Sanford was angered by that, and said that two poll workers witnessed the machine error.
Sanford vowed to file a complaint with the TX SOS.
Last week Callen was on local television pledging to help those with no photo ID to vote.
