Gray power.
I don’t think this trend has changed,
but young people tend to vote for gov’t that promises to take from those who have wealth (ie, old people)
and give it to them, the young people.
The youngsters are the last people you want to rely on to win elections. You can barely get them out for Presidential elections. They’ll never get them away from their hookahs on an off year.
Pi$$ing the oldsters off is the worst thing you ccan do.
The 60 & older remember what our country used to be. The young vote only came out when they portrayed O as a rock star icon. Let them sit this one out, it can only be good for us.
Or fraudulent voting from nursing homes, where senile voters are "helped" by Dem activists. Or even voting by "senior citizens" who have moved away into retirement communities in other states or died.
Jay Cost had a good analysis at the Weekly Standard about North Carolina’s early voting numbers. Over 50% were 60 years old and higher, a tremendous difference from 2012.
This race will be very interesting to watch tonight.
I voted early this year. Voted for Thom Tillis and a list of conservative judges. I’m not over 60 but this is the first year I voted early. In the past I always wanted to kind of wait until election day so the Democrat fraud machine won’t know what number to baseline for vote counts. I cannot wait to see what the results are tonight!
RE: Gray power.
Sure, but for which party?
GOP
Good point, since there’s a number that vote for big payouts in programs like Medicare, etc., but I think this year it’s a backlash against SSM and other depravities, especially here in Dixie.
As older voters tend to vote more GOP than younger voters, this could be a very good sign.
However, younger voters who work or go to school tend to vote later in the day or in the evening.
That could go against the Dems this year, with the impact of Obamacare on Medicare.
I just returned from a NC voting place.
LOTS of old peeps there...including the wife and I.
My wife and I just returned from voting here in Guilford County, NC. There was a mob of voters at 9AM, many more than in 2008 or 2010. Most of the people in line were white and elderly. What this betokens, I don’t know. Will it be enough to overcome the high level of democratic voter fraud in this state? We will see.
That’s why I prefer voting all on one day, a la the U.S. Constitution.
If you get there and vote, fine. If not, that’s the way the cookie crumbles.
Also, open carry (with CWP) would probably help some things to go better with thugs.
Seen a lot of westerns.
Maybe, but I hope they know that and aren’t assuming the Dems are going to take care of them better.
Millions of young folk were driven to the polls for Obama's "hope and change" meme. There is no such draw this time around. Just a bunch of gray hairs running for senate and congressional seats. "B-O-R-I-N-G".
Most of the voters over age 80 voted Democrat, especially the dead ones.
It is a common scheme for Democrats to register nursing home residents and then vote for them.
