In 2012, analysts said the GOP would gain up to 5 seats, but they lost 3.
Tonight, so far, they have +7. Dem analysts are trying to downplay the results.
But those results, even though close in several states, are a major repudiation of the Obama policies. Now will come holding the Republicans’ feet to the fire.

FoxNews: Illinois will have a Republican governor. Quinn loses; Rauner (R) wins.

Its still too close but Brownback has pulled ahead by 2% with 73% in.

How close did Land come in Michigan?

Virginia is a disappointment.
But no one gave Gillespie a chance until late and he couldn’t raise enough money.
Damned NoVa!

Salem Radio news coverage reports AP calls it for Tillis in NC.

I wouldn't mind a "Jumpin' Jim Geffords" buffer. Maybe Manchin will turn GOP? Angus King already said he will caucus with Repubs.

Not too close I dont think. Rove pulled the plug on her when she was ahead

As of this post time:
Senate: Republicans have locked up 51 seats, ahead in 2 more
Senate: Democrats have locked up 42 seats, ahead in 2 more
House: Republicans have locked up 220 seats, ahead in 21 more
House: Democrats have locked up 133 seats, ahead in 49 more
Governors: Republicans have locked up 26 seats, ahead in 7 more
Governors: Democrats have locked up 13 seats, ahead in 2 more
I would like to invite folks to use the Los Angeles Times Senate, House, and Nationwide State Gubantorial candidate breakdowns. It's a fairly good indicator of where things are headed.
Note: Make sure ALL is selected. Then you can click on Senate, House, or Governors
These categories show current wins and gains. (Ex: Republican = 44 +4 / Democrats = 38 +2) Note: + denotes leading in that many races in addition to already locked up
