Happy Election Day everyone! I figured I'd go ahead and get the election day thread started. Polls open on the east coast in a little less than an hour.

The McLean precinct had 82% turnout in 2012. So if turnout was only in the 50-60% range, it may help.

Yes, I had to step away from the TV. It was painful. It seemed to me that as the newscasters announced Republican victories, they went out of their way to praise the "up and coming" Democrat "stars" for the "brilliant" campaign that had taken them to defeat. I heard no praise for any of the Republican victors.
And I knew it was over for Scott Brown before the polls closed because the Boston reporters were insufferably smug whenever they mentioned Jeanne Sheehan -- and they also openly linked Shaheen to Obama. That told me that they knew Brown had lost.
