WHITE HOUSE: Don't Freak Out If Democrats Get Crushed Tomorrow
Business Insider ^ | 11/3/2014 | Colin Campbell

Posted on 11/03/2014 2:11:47 PM PST by SeekAndFind

The White House is trying to downplay the results of Tuesday's midterm elections ahead of the Democratic Party's forecasted heavy losses across the country.

Polls show the GOP is on the verge of taking the Senate majority from the Democrats and expanding its majority in the House. However, speaking with reporters Monday afternoon, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest stressed the differences between a national presidential election and these more local races.

"It is important to understand, as important as this election is ... a midterm election is different than a presidential election — particularly this year," Earnest said.

Earnest noted many of the competitive Senate races are in conservative-leaning states where President Barack Obama was never popular.

“Only the ‘Rats know for sure how much fraud they have planned, and this could be low-expectation setup for opposite headlines on Wednesday.”

Oh just stop it.

Everything isnt some elaborate plot to trick people.

Like what the living hell would be the point of acting like they lost, just for some needless headlines the next day?

Hmmm...maybe they were counting too much of the vote machine fraud that got exposed.

How in hell did they think that was going to work? EVERYONE who votes R and sees it come up D doesn't have to notice, but if ANYONE does, the jig is up. They must think that republican voters are as dumb as democrats. Or else they tossed us a freebie but the real voter fraud will be much more subtle.

Well, didn’t mean that Wednesday’s headlines were their motivation... their agenda and power is their motivation.

I have some relatives who are big liberals and active in campaigns, DNC stuff. They have been spending the past 3 days and will tomorrow, knock on doors, call people, etc. If someone tells them they already voted, they will VERIFY this, and if the person DID NOT YET VOTE, they will call them (repeatedly) to pressure them to go vote.

Sounds like they are not optimistic about turnout without some strong-arming taking place.

RE: And just why would anybody at Ft Bragg support the idiot?

I’m asking that question many times myself... If there is one democrat in this election cycle who MIGHT survive it’s going to be Kay Hagen ( the other one probably would be New Hampshire’s Jeanne Shaheen ).

If she survives (Hagen) it is because of UniVision. I know these things.

What irony. The first time in his administration 0bama is saying it isn't "all about me" and guess what? It actually is.

"The vast majority of the people say that their vote is determined by something other than sending a message to the president of the United States. So I would take those voters at their word," he [Earnest] said.

Right. So perhaps it is about more than just 0bama, yes? Oh, no...

I guess in other words, it would not be wise to draw as broad a conclusion about the outcome of this election as you would from a national presidential election...

Oh really? If the Dems get shellacked how could it not be about the Dems? How could it not be about corruption, abuse of power, government by executive diktat, arrogant racial fascism, increasing intrusiveness and scope of government power? How could it not be about lying, cheating, legal pettifogging, constant negativity toward the country, abuses at the IRS, the DOJ, outright lying at the State Department? It's a national election. It's about all of those things.

Setting the bar real low so that anything other than a complete shellacking will be deemed a victory by the RATs. Or at least Obama.

I suppose the conservatives are not allowed to be happy tomorrow when the dems lose ..????

So often we’re told we have to be FAIR. In 2000, when we finally won, we were told not to “gloat”. And, like when Bush got re-elected in ‘04 - and they didn’t want to “gloat”. Why the hell not .. 4 million more people voted in ‘04 .. that was surely something to celebrate.

Sorry, But I’m going to be very, very happy; and GLOAT.
