U.S. officials report that more than 1,000 foreign fighters are streaming into Syria each month as a United Nations report says that the terrorist influx has reached an "unprecedented scale."
According to the new U.N. report, a lot more terrorist boots are on the ground these days as an "unbelievably small" to use Secretary of State John Kerry's phrase air campaign, which has taken months to do what should have been done in a day, has failed to achieve the administration's proclaimed goal: to "degrade and destroy" the Islamic State.
More than 15,000 foreign fighters from as many as 80 countries have streamed into Syria and Iraq since 2010. The flow continues on "an unprecedented scale," according to the U.N. report, obtained by Britain's Guardian newspaper.
These fighters have come from such unlikely places as the Maldive Islands. The group's videos feature jihadists with Chilean, Norwegian and other backgrounds.
"There are instances of foreign terrorist fighters from France, the Russian Federation and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Island operating together," the report notes.
An Islamic State video showed British hostage Alan Henning being beheaded by a fighter with a British accent. More than 500 British citizens are said to have traveled to the region since 2011.

Jack Hydrazine: Yeppers. Its OUR Muzzie terrorist organization.
Ah yes. The friendly mujahadeen (sp) with cia delivered Stingers. The good old days.
The CIA started Al Qaeda back in 1979. IS(IS) is just Al Qaeda renamed and re-focused on conquering the Levant (aka ISIL).
What is the Levant? The area between western Turkey and western Egypt. This includes Israel.

Short of putting boots on the ground — which he won’t do, and, no, 200 Marines doesn’t count — the options include A) arming and helping the Kurds; B) sending arms and ammo to all sides; and C) beheading the Syrian dictatorship and *then* go back to options A & B.
