So why are the Senate races close? They are close because Republicans are paralyzed by a political cowardice that makes them reluctant to fight fire with fire. From election to election they are afraid to hold Democrats morally accountable for what they actually stand for and have done. Where is the Republican calling out the Democrats for their support for racists like Sharpton and the lynch mob demanding blood in the case of officer Darren Wilson? Where is the Republican decrying the betrayal of the brave Americans who died to keep Iraq free? Where is the Republican standing up for the millions of poor black and Hispanic children who languish in public schools that dont teach them and whose lives are being crushed by Democratic welfare systems? Where is the Republican Partys campaign against the Democrats totalitarian attempts to destroy the two-party system and empower criminals? Why is their political language so tepid when it comes to the outrages that Democrats daily commit?
The Republican Party is the party of small business (the political billionaires are clustered among the Democrats). But politics cannot be viewed as a business. Democrats are missionaries seeking to change the world. Like all such missionaries from Lenin to ISIS, individual freedom presents a threat to their world transforming goal. They know whats good for you, and they are determined to prevent you from resisting it. This is what the political battle is about and unless Republicans embrace the missionary attitude, and make freedom their rallying cry, it is not just elections they are jeopardizing but the future of our country as well.

Mitt Romney’s performance on Chris Wallace today is a clue.
Clueless Republicans who don’t know what is going on.
The Republican strategy is vote for me - I oppose President Obama. They don’t have a unified message of what they are for, and what they will do, such as the contract with America.
Also, their actual performance last time they were in control of the Government - continued to grow government and restrict freedom.
There seems to be an impression that we are going to hell in a hand basket, but it’s just slower with the Republicans.
The electorate seems to feel that politicians will not represent the American people-just special interest groups and huge campaign donors.
Fire Priebus! He’s a complete put off. Get Ben Carson to head the RNC
Why not tell us about it. That was a pretty brief indictment. Can you do it?
Lol, now Cowboy, I’ve been saying that on FR a long time!
Let’s keep it up! Maybe that realization will spread far and wide someday!
Behind our backs, too many if the republicans are as immoral as the Dems u speak of!
So, I don’t think it is so much “they WON’t hold the dims accountable as it is “they don’t WANT to”.
Indeed.
Ditto that. Sometimes reality sucks. A majority of Americans are socialists but a portion of them put their asses in front of their socialism and ISIS/Ebola has caught their attention.
One problem - Iraq is not free, never has been free, and probably never will be free. One of the reasons Republicans lost is that Americans are tired of our troops being sent on futile missions that accomplish nothing for our own security.
The GOP is not a political party, it is a club run for the benefit of its members, see what they did to carry Thad Cochran and Pat Roberts across the finish line. And I’ll never forget when the California GOP turned itself into an employment agency for one man, Dan Lungren. Amazing.
