So why are the Senate races close? They are close because Republicans are paralyzed by a political cowardice that makes them reluctant to fight fire with fire. From election to election they are afraid to hold Democrats morally accountable for what they actually stand for and have done. Where is the Republican calling out the Democrats for their support for racists like Sharpton and the lynch mob demanding blood in the case of officer Darren Wilson? Where is the Republican decrying the betrayal of the brave Americans who died to keep Iraq free? Where is the Republican standing up for the millions of poor black and Hispanic children who languish in public schools that dont teach them and whose lives are being crushed by Democratic welfare systems? Where is the Republican Partys campaign against the Democrats totalitarian attempts to destroy the two-party system and empower criminals? Why is their political language so tepid when it comes to the outrages that Democrats daily commit?
The Republican Party is the party of small business (the political billionaires are clustered among the Democrats). But politics cannot be viewed as a business. Democrats are missionaries seeking to change the world. Like all such missionaries from Lenin to ISIS, individual freedom presents a threat to their world transforming goal. They know whats good for you, and they are determined to prevent you from resisting it. This is what the political battle is about and unless Republicans embrace the missionary attitude, and make freedom their rallying cry, it is not just elections they are jeopardizing but the future of our country as well.

Because the media says so. Close races generate endless stories and make lots of money.
Because 43% of the voters are the people Alexis de Toqueville warned us about. And then there’s 7% who are just drooling morons.
They’re not close. If you could see the internal polling you’d faint.
Republicans are not afraid to hold the Dems feet to the fire. They are complicit in the same corruption. All of them need their feet burned.
How obvious does it need to be that Republican leadership opposes the restoration of the republic? They are afraid to lose their power.
Blame the Media. The Media is the greatest threat to America today.
The GOP-e doesn’t talk about that stuff because they don’t really care about it. They care about having their “turn” to distribute government goodies, which will keep their donors happy so they will keep giving the
party money.
I’m not saying it IS Aliens, but, it’s probably Aliens.
why are we rehashing this three day old article?
For the anti-life, “equality trumps all”, and superciliously righteous, this is not a business, it is not even politics in the accepted sense. It is a religion, and not a well-defined one, either. In fact, they keep changing their own definitions, sometimes with such speed that many of their previously highly regarded “brain trust” people are sometimes left on the outside looking in, wondering what the blazes just happened here.
I think the GOPe is more comfortable with the missionary position than the missionary attitude.
I’ll vote for coarser culture and a positive acceptance of dirty tricks and blatant lies. Consider the changing nature of political comedy. My Dad laughed at the sayings and jokes of Will Rogers, I kept up on political humor with Bob Hope, now, my daughter watches Bill Maher.

Says it all.
Because Repubnlicans are running as “the other guys,” nnothing more.
I have been calling the RINOcrats cowards for years. Nothing new here.
I would like to see a Republican sweep that does not include McConnell or Boehner or McCarthy. Then the Republicans might vote for nonDemocrats to be House and Senate leaders. The current Republican leadership in Congress is all Democrat.
Boehner is a lock.
McConnell was probably vulnerable until the Clintons started carpet-bombing Kentucky for Grimes.
Bump on that.
