Court Order: Kaci Hickox's Roommate in Sierra Leone Was Treated for Ebola

A Maine court has rejected the state’s attempt to quarantine nurse Kaci Hickox. The court ruled that a quarantine isn’t necessary at this time. We are also learning that Hickox’s roommate in Sierra Leone had been treated for Ebola, but the court says any risk from that has passed. Jonathan Serrie reported the latest this afternoon.

Supreme Court Justices have been medical doctors since at least January 22, 1973.

Justice Harry Blackmun, former counsel to the Mayo Clinic, engaged us all with a Roe v. Wade opinion that was 49% medical, 49% smoke and mirrors, and 2% law, albeit perhaps irrelevant law. Medical 'knowledge' was a major factor in establishing the original Roe trimester differentiations on a woman's interest and the state's interest. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I may be remembering this part incorrectly, but I have a fuzzy recollection that when I visited my son at the 11th Circuit, the judges would frequently step out of their offices, then ask me to turn my head and cough.
