It never does seem to be the right time to die...

She got her 15 minutes of attention.
I have a cousin in law that has GBM IV right now... she IS going to die from this...I dont envy her situation at all... the treatment is horrific..
Thank God. I have been praying that she would change her mind. It is horrible that the pro-death faction is encouraging this poor woman to make a horrible choice.
I am happy she changed her mind and hope she has manny comfortable months if not years.
I think she is strong enough now to resist the pro suicide people. let them kill themselves instead of trying to manipulate this young woman who has so much family to love her and want her to live
Its not my job to tell her how to live, her mother, Debbie, says in the video. And its not my job to tell her how to die.
My own mother always has been comfortable telling me how to live — in fact, she considers it her job to do so — and she’d sure as hell tell me not to kill myself even if I were dying of a brain tumor!
Or the publicity led to a lot of donations, enough that her family wants to continue funding her bucket list, pay off bills and other things they may not be able to do when she’s dead.
Disclaimer: I have not been following this particular story up to now.
I am not automatically against a terminal person choosing to end their life. But I am also not automatically for it.
The one observation I would make based on this article is that if one wishes to die with dignity, this is certainly not the way to go about it. Which makes it look suspiciously agenda driven.
Whoring yourself out to a death cult is not what I would call death with dignity.
Either that or she was doing it for the attention, and never wanted to kill herself in the first place.
Either way, I am thankful.
Life is precious, even when you are sick.
I wonder how much money she made from this stunt.
This wasn’t hard to foresee. She’s the center of attention and finds it a pretty good gig. She’ll be an afterthought about the third or fourth time she publicly sets a death date.
I’ve never heard of somebody granting their own stay of execution.... Is that legal?!
I knew she would change her mind as the date loomed closer.
Whenever the subject of assisted suicide comes up, my concern is that there is the possibility someone was misdiagnosed, and does not have a terminal illness after all (I'm not saying that's the case with this young lady - I'm just speaking in general terms.) Even if the diagnosis is correct, people can sometimes live far longer that what was initially predicted. I knew someone who was diagnosed with terminal cancer in her mid 30s, and given 6 months to live. She was able to get into an experimental treatment program which prolonged her life for another 17 years. During much of that time, she had a good quality of life - able to work, travel, do just about anything she wanted, and got to see her kids grow up. This woman did have some setbacks along the way, some serious, but had a much longer and fulfilling life than what the doctors originally expected. Thank God she didn't have a Doctor Kervorkian advising her when she first became ill.
Maybe she doesn’t want to vote Democrat next Tuesday.
Dear Brittany:
Miracles can happen, if you put your trust in the Lord.
May the Lord bless you, amen.
