Nurse Kaci Hickox who remains symptom-free after spending three days in a New Jersey isolation tent after flying home from Ebola-stricken West Africa remains under quarantine at home in Maine, but for only another day, she tells TODAY's Matt Lauer.
I dont plan on sticking to the guidelines. I remain appalled by these home quarantine policies that have been forced upon me, even though I am in perfectly good health and feeling strong and have been this entire time completely symptom free, said Hickox, who wouldnt emerge from Maines 21-day voluntary quarantine until Nov. 10.
I truly believe this policy is not scientifically nor constitutionally just, and so Im not going to sit around and be bullied around by politicians and be forced to stay in my home when I am not a risk to the American public.
Hickox, who pointed out that top health officials believe a quarantine is unnecessary unless someone develops symptoms, also said:
She will pursue legal action if Maine forces her into continued isolation: If the restrictions placed on me by the state of Maine are not lifted by Thursday morning, I will go to court to fight for my freedom.(continued)

The sacrifice of our lives, our families’ lives, that sort of thing. Perfectly reasonable requests from Satan.
Yes, but was she state ordered? I don’t think she was because she was able to leave.
If she was they could’ve had security stop her.
If someone is court ordered while in the hospital they absolutely cannot leave. They will be stopped and held. She was not.
Yes, she seems to be saying that public health issues are for the rest of you peons to worry about, but not me. I am superior to you. Typical libtard attitude. I heard there are police cars outside her house. I am wondering if the cops are there to keep her in, or to keep angry citizens from "dealing" with her by themselves?
Wonderful. And if she gives it to someone she shouldn’t be given medicine. She should just die in a jail cell.
Remember the lawyer with tuberculosis who took a plane to Europe? The CDC told him he could travel, too.
How many people on that plane caught TB? No one. His wife also was not infected.
They all had to be tested and waited anxiously for the results, though. All of those passengers had to be inconvenienced and had to live in uncertainty because there was a chance they might've caught it.
But, since none of them caught TB, do you think travel restrictions should be lifted for TB patients?
Remember, two Texas nurses caught Ebola from a patient. Even if it's not so easy to catch, there's still a risk.
Some guy who arrived here three days ago agrees with you! Wow, I’m re-thinking my whole argument...
She was released by NJ on condition she would be quarantined in Maine on her arrival.
She agreed to this and was allowed to go to Maine. She has since gone back on her word
Oh. Thanks for clearing that up for me. So now I’m up to speed on this thing.
Man, she’s something. So, then, why haven’t they arrested her?
I was quarantined in the early 40s-——scarlet fever.
.
No wonder she was in Africa - just a guess, but with an attitude like hers, I doubt that she would have lasted long on most professional nursing staffs in this country.....
I’m not sure what TB has in common with Ebola.
That’s like Saying: “ I got cancer from a guy who had the flu.”
They are not remotely the same thing
That being said, I still do not understand why Ebola has become a political issue
Especially for those who want the government OUT of our lives. Do you simply hold that point of view until you become frightened?
I still do not understand why Ebola has become a political issue....It became a political issue when the Democrats unleashed their Biological Warfare Plan on America. TB, HN68, scabies and now Ebola.
Thanks for the ping!
So, which diseases are you OK with, then? Is it just Ebola that you think should be OK to travel around with?
I bet she calls herself a Progressive. Progressives are a nasty, totalitarian bunch. Like you say, she thinks she’s superior.
I’m betting Maine citizens won’t be bullied by a stupid inconsiderate nurse.
“If she gave it to someone in my family, Id sue her.”
If she gave it to someone in my family, a law suit would be the least of her worries.
Relax. It will only hurt for a millisecond.
