Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) this week signaled his support for undocumented immigrant children to have a pathway to U.S. citizenship.
For children who came with their parents into the country and did not comply with our immigration laws, they are guilty of nothing other than coming with their family, Cornyn said during a Tuesday night Senate debate. We ought to provide them with an opportunity not only to go to school, but eventually serve in the military or complete a college education and earn American citizenship.
In 2003, he voted for the DREAM Act, which would have created a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants who went to college or the military and were not deemed dangerous to the public.

Pathway to the voting booth.
It makes more sense to retire Cornyn.
Clarify the 14th Ammendment today, and stop this nonsense.
Ebola hell, just stop the freakin stupidity.
Right now, who do you like more: Cornyn or Graham?
I find them about equal.
Selling out to K Street makes much more sense too, apparently.
Don’t want to throw them back to a country they don’t even remember? Okay, I can kind of see that.
Allow them to become citizens and vote? Absolutely not!
Why require the world’s children to come here with a parent? Why should children have to set foot on U.S. soil to receive social benefits? And the vote for their parents too?
Cool! I teach my kids to pick pocket and they get off scot free!
Fock Cornrow, the worthless DemocRat RINO.
Here it comes.
Cornyn is a RINO-WEASEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And this is why I did not vote for him in early voting...he’s no better than the libs.
May I choose some laws I want to break, and then get rewarded for my lawbreaking? If not, why not?
No. Because they said so.
We cannot and should not concur with any recommendation until congress again earns the trust of the US voters, which seems more implausible every year. The 1986 amnesty was to fix all the immigration problems. Gramm-Rudman-Hollings was to solve the budget problems. Congress will not compel the executive to enforce the laws they make. It seems all laws are now subject to “prosecutorial discretion”. How can anyone believe that even one thing the congress puts into law will be faithfully executed even if it is passed?
And that, Cornyn, is why I will not be voting for you.
“Pathway to citizenship” = “amnesty” to illegals, rewarding them for their disobedience to our laws and moving them to the front of the immigration line, oh wait, there’s to be no more front or rear to the immigration line and we’re letting them all in now.
I refuse to vote for him ever again.
I didn’t vote for him in the primaries, and I will NOT vote for him in the general.
I have contacted his office multiple times about some of his stances, including why he does not back Cruz on conservative issues and I get a generated form letter back.
I’m hoping six years from now, if this country is still a country with voting rights, someone other than this RINO runs.
Yes how about an amendment to prevent stupidity?
Kids guilty or not guilty by just following their families? As if the families are legal citizens?
And he announces this a week before the election?
