Campaigning in one of the nation’s key U.S. Senate contests, Vice President Joe Biden said Monday that keeping Democratic control of the chamber would “break the back of the hard right” and ease gridlock in Washington.
Biden said next week’s choice between Democrat Bruce Braley and Republican Joni Ernst for the open Senate seat in Iowa was critical to the outcome. If Braley wins and the Democrats maintain their majority, he said, the Republicans in Congress will be open to compromising with Democrats on issues such as raising the federal minimum wage.
“If that happens and it will, what’s going to happen is it’s going to break the back of the hard right,” he said. “You are going to see many reasonable people in the Republican Party start to vote reasonably again. Not exactly like we do. But they are going to be open to the kind of compromise that’s always allowed this nation to move forward.”
Biden was the latest high-profile surrogate to visit Iowa as Braley, a four-term congressman, seeks a late surge in his tight race against Ernst. Hillary Clinton is coming Wednesday, and former President Bill Clinton will be in on Saturday. Biden was traveled to Rockford, Illinois, later Monday to campaign for Gov. Pat Quinn and other Democrats.

I think you have a point, and I am worried about their voter fraud machine myself (especially considering all the evidence we’ve seen already, what with machines switching votes, illegals voting, always to the D from the R, ballot-stuffing in Colorado, Udall blowing off voter fraud as being a “lesser sin” than lying or cheating -just what does he think voter fraud is?-but they would say the same thing regardless. I suppose I’ll just have to remain worried.

Yep. They pulled out all the stops in Mississippi. They never pull out all the stops against a rat opponent. It showed their hand plain as day.

I stay pretty even by expecting the worst. It’s not like Commie Care and amnesty for illegals will be done away with if we do win the Senate. The GOPe will roll over for Obola’s commie picks for the bench, his “czars”, his executive “actions”. I’ll believe otherwise when I see it, and I don’t expect to see it- if they were so gung-ho to fix the country, they wouldn’t have a problem with the Tea Party, which only wants to shrink government and taxation and doesn’t even, in general, stand on social issues. They won’t overturn Roe v Wade, nor kick the sodomites out of the military, nor invalidate sodomite “marriages”. So not much will change regardless.

Yes. And with all the past, and few, conservative victories, I haven’t seen the GOPe try to capitalise and build on them, instead, they find every excuse to move further left.
