Just weeks after three women passed a rigorous day-long test qualifying them to potentially lead US Marine infantrymen for the first time in history, news came that all three women have been asked to leave the course.
They were physically disqualified from the training last week for falling behind in hikes while carrying loads of upwards of 100 pounds, says Maj. George Flynn, director of the Infantry Officers Course (IOC) at Quantico, Va.

You aren’t factoring in that the Navy performs a vast amount of duties for the the Marines, in other words when someone counts Marine deaths per capita, they don’t count great numbers of support and administration, medical, transportation and so on.
Notice that the Army is not only it’s combat arms units, but basically the entire personnel and MOS structure of a Navy and Marines put together.
Ever met a Seabee or a Seal? Hell, even the Air Force has some really bad-a$$ specialty groups. It wasn’t that way so much when I was in... but that was awhile back. Things have changed.
