GOP Senate would mean more clashes with Obama, little progress

WASHINGTON — It's Nov. 5 and jubilant Republicans have captured the Senate, giving the party control of both chambers of Congress for the last two years of Barack Obama's presidency.

Now what?

The power and agenda in the Senate would shift dramatically. Republicans goals — rolling back the Affordable Care Act, approving the Keystone XL pipeline, lowering tax rates and investigating the Obama administration — would dominate Senate debate and hearings.

However, Republican control would do little to change the recipe for gridlock. The Republican majority in the Senate would almost certainly be small, well short of the 60 votes required to move any controversial legislation over the objections of the Democratic minority. Polls 10 days before Election Day suggest a GOP majority of about 51 seats.

Don’t get me wrong, I am all for a GOP led senate that would pursue the criminals in the administration. My reference concerns the never ending pursuit of the liberal agenda by Democrats.

We could stand a lot less of their “progress”!

Amen. Their definition of “progress” is the exact opposite of ours.

They’ll roll over to get any treats that Obama will give out. There is nothing different about the Republican Party. Does anyone seriously believe this will benefit our nation in any way? How many Republicans actually clash with Obama, now? 5? At the most?

A Republican Senate might mean I won’t be subjected to Harry Reid’s weird ramblings as much.

P.S. Dear Santa, For Christmas I would like Mark Begich to be kicked out of the Senate.

I think you need to explicate your connection.

“The Republican controlled Congress can pass bills and watch Obama veto them”

Yep, I can live with hearing for two years “The do nothing President” More to add to his legacy, hahaha

pass a tax cut bill
send it to obama
if obama vetoes the tax cut bill, send him another

of course a tax cut bill is probably outside the nebulous msm definition of “progress”...

Can’t win the media. Forget them

The voter fraud is a factor unknown. We know in pres races it’s ohio and other hot spots. Easy enough in midterms. Go to the hot races

Comity and compromise are vastly overrated.

Every time a conservative compromises with the demands of liberals the liberals win, conservatives lose and we all lose a little more of our freedom and independence

Well? Little progress on anything Obama wants is what I WANT! My ideal would be NO progress on what he wants!

I’m of a different strain when it comes to PC description by liberals of what bi-partisan means.

For me, I remember back to the old cartoon I once saw where two vultures were perching on a cactus in the hot desert. One looked to the other and said, “I’m tired of this crap - I’m gonna kill something!”

I don’t give a crap what liberals think - I want to destroy them (figuratively) and their ideas. Defeat them mercilessly and then take away all the largess they’ve created. Condemn their ideas, their principles and legislatively castrate their leaders. Full on ideological and political war.

Think back to when we had a GOP Congress that did nothing but fight with Clinton - the rest of the country was doing fine.

Generally speaking, the less the government accomplishes, the better the country does.

This article is a covert message to the still-undecided.

Chuck Todd reported from the hustings that many undecided voters are sick of Dummycrats power-mongering.

They want change-—but are afraid giving Republicans the power won’t change things.

They could pass an actual budget instead of yet another continuing resolution.

Preferable than nothing when confronted with open treason and betrayal of the Constitution he's supposed to protect.

Really, everyone with half a brain knows, he needs to be removed from office. I don't care if he voluntarily steps down under pressure, but it needs to take place before his move on amnesty for 34 million illegals takes place.

President Biden? Pfff....anything will be better at this point.
