Dr. Craig Spencer, who returned to New York City from Africa 10 days ago, was rushed in an ambulance with a police escort from his Harlem home to Bellevue Hospital on Thursday, sources said.
He was suffering from Ebola-like symptoms a 103-degree fever and nausea, sources said.
While he was in Africa, the doctor had been treating Ebola patients in Guinea, sources said.

It was bumping up against some resistance and this news was a perfect reason for the algos to send the sucker down.
If that Dr has been spreading Ebola around Harlem all hell may break loose.
Why Yes, YES THEY DO.
If anyone ends up getting Ebola back after they tested to have been cleared from it, that's when I'd get real cautious. I get the feeling they don't know what they're doing, and it's all about "reassuring the public" and not affecting holiday travel.
JMHO
The media reaction will be completely different than the coverage in Dallas. Hopefully this is a false alarm but if it is ebola the level of hysteria will be off the charts especially since most of the MSM are there in NYC.
Best reply.
Obama is determined to import a more effective index patient than Duncan.
BTW, think of the freak-out coming this winter when flu and norovirus hit. Think theyll have enough ambulances with police escorts for the millions that get sick with those?

Dow is up 220, S+P up 24.
Where was it?
Bellevue? We may get to see exactly how "super completely ultra ready" New York's hospitals are to treat Ebola (as is claimed by Gov. Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio).
Prayers for the good doctor.
“but if it is ebola the level of hysteria will be off the charts especially since most of the MSM are there in NYC”
Even Bloomberg is reporting this as Breaking News.
When it could effect THEM personally, (they ride the subways, they ride in the Taxi’s, etc.), watch the media go absolutely BALLISTIC, MediaMatters orders be damned...
SPX got over 1960 and then dumped...but still a big up day so far...but it is coming slowly down right now
We’re having possibly the earliest influenza season ever here in the PNW. So far seems a fairly mild strain, though.
There’s no chance Obola hugged HIM, is there?
So, basically if there was a travel ban with a 21 day incubation hold before admittance to the US, the doctor would still be over there and not infecting anyone over here.
Evidently the screening at the airports which started over ten days ago, didn’t do squat.
Where is the damn Thumbs Up button?
reports said Tests will take 12 hours. We will know the results in time for the market open tomorrow.
Good possibility the guy has it. However, he did self quarantine and wore some kind of suit to the hospital.
His apartment will have to be gutted like Amber Vinson’s apt.
That's not just a feeling. It's reality. They are all just winging it.
(If anyone shouldn't be contracting Ebola if there weren't huge unknowns, it's doctors and nurses, who are trained in infectious disease control.)
Did they mention how old he is?
Yeah, he’s been tooling around the Big Apple for ten days.
