Houston Police are responding to a shooting in progress outside Ben Taub Hospital in the Medical Center.
The incident happened in the outpatient pharmacy area, between the pharmacy and a parking garage. The area now cordoned off by police is a busy walkway, used to get to and from Ben Taub to the public parking garage, ABC 13 reports.

Local channel 2 is reporting it as an apparent murder/suicide.
HOUSTON Two people were killed in an apparent murder-suicide at Ben Taub Hospital Wednesday.
The shooting happened about 2:15 p.m. in the hospital’s outpatient pharmacy.
Police say a pharmacist and pharmacy tech were shot inside the glassed area. They aren’t saying
which one fired the shots.
Witnesses said the tech appeared agitated, and then they heard multiple gunshots.

Houston police tell Local 2 News officers are on the scene of a shooting in which two people
were killed at Ben Taub Hospital in the Texas Medical Center.
A spokesperson for the Harris County Hospital District tells Local 2 News one person
died and one person in the shooting in the outpatient pharmacy area on grounds next
to the hospital building.
A man shot a woman, then turned the gun on himself. Both were pronounced dead.
HPD said they are working the case as an apparent murder-suicide between co-workers.
No other people were injured.

Two employees at the pharmacy at Ben Taub General Hospital are dead after an apparent
murder-suicide, officials said.
The first call was made to police just after 2:15 p.m.
Witnesses said a man shot a woman, then turned the gun on himself, said Houston Police
Department spokesman John Cannon. They were pronounced dead a short time later.
Both worked at the pharmacy, but their roles were uncertain. One may have been
a pharmacy technician and the other a clerk, Cannon said.
