An Iowa woman went to the hospital for stomach pains and hours later gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Misty Beaty and Scott Steele from Cedar Rapids had absolutely no idea that Misty was pregnant until the moment she gave birth to Briggs Beaty on Monday morning. It was especially a surprise for Scott who was diagnosed with colorectal cancer five years ago and was told he was sterile.

LOL!! Hope he looks like the daddy!
"Scott! ...You are not the father!"
What I find disturbing is that a woman, obviously well past her 30s, had no idea, in all those many months, that she was pregnant ,simply because she did not gain weight. It is a frightening admission on her part that in all that time, she never questioned not having her menses, nor felt a normally developing baby kick at any point, nor observed her mammary glands enlarging. Any woman who has had a child recognizes what I am saying and it is absolutely unbelievable that anyone can be so blind.
Had a homeschooling friend back in the day that had 4 kids, so they are growing up and one day she very embarrassedly admitted she had just found out she was pregnant, and she was six months along! She thought she had indigestion. duh.
Love the picture and Scott, you ain’t the only one here that got screwed.....
Ha ha ha! On another favorite blog of mine, we can upvote/downvote other posts. It’s a way for the users to show approval or neg-bomb the morons.
Oh how I want to upvote your post!
I was just over at my dil’s and she watches these judge shows. So I couldn’t help but hear the case. Young stupid slut was taking two men to court for a paternity test, turns out it was neither one, it was a third man. She doesn’t know who he is. So she’s raising a half black child with no idea who the father is. Trash.
Maybe Scott will explain himself and post to this thread.
I hear his Freeper name is “Ain’t No Fool Like a Damn Fool Like Me.”
Based on her picture I’ll give her the caveat that she is in or near Menopause. This sort of thing can happen at that time and the woman gets used to irregular menses and long periods with none. 40 years old? Could happen.
If he’s smart, he gets a DNA test done on the sly. Pronto.
wait what? - which one is the guy?
Total BS. There are so many changes in a woman’s body during pregnancy that this acting surprised is nothing but a terrible attention seeking behavior.
Here is the local story:
He was a ‘radio personality’, maybe not his real name.
Sorry....she's a liar and this is some type of scam. She's in the news. You and I are not.
I'm waiting for the hard luck story.
She’s in her 30’s.
That’s assuming someone who starts off healthy and hormonally normal. Had a friend in HS who was a shocker baby...her mother had a hormonal problem of some sort and frequently had very irregular periods. Same basic situation...after some months of on and off again “digestive upset” “violent cramping” started and the rest is history. Because of the prior health issues, it didn’t even raise any eyebrows til the head came out!
I had a close girlfriend that gave birth to twins and not even the doctor knew it....after birthing the first, the nurse told the doctor there was another baby. The doctor said “your kidding” and my girlfriend said “I hope to god your kidding”....Fraternal twins 2 boys, one looked like her and the other looked like his daddy....that was back before ultra sound and wasn’t her first pregnancy...both weighted over 5 pounds....another girlfriend gave birth to twins around the same time I gave birth to my first...he weighted 5 pounds 14 oz....her twins weight 6pound 7 oz, the other weighted 7 pounds...she was huge but was expecting twins, the weight was awesome...
I’ve delivered two teenagers who didn’t know they were pregnant.
And in the days before ultrasounds, it was not unusual not to pick up that there was twins instead of a single baby.
My favorite, however, was a mom we had to schedule for a repeat CSection (this was when I was in Africa and we had no ultrasound). We suspected twins which made it hard to judge her due date, so we did an x ray to confirm fetal maturity.
So we were doubly surprised when “twin” number three came out! Apparantly we missed it on the fuzzy poor quality x ray.
***So we were doubly surprised when twin number three came out! ***that is a BIG surprise
