I need to do some research into this fellas:
They include former Alabama Governor Bob Riley, Business Council of Alabama CEO Billy Canary, Hoar Construction CEO Rob Burton, Great Southern Wood CEO Jimmy Rane, former Sterne Agee CEO James Holbrook, lobbyist Minda Riley Campbell, Harbert Management Corp. vice president Will Brooke and political operative Dax Swatek.
Using the legal system as a political hit squad is a one way street, beneath the blue bloods and country clubbers running the GOP.
God help the marxist sons of bitches that call themselves Democrats if the REAL right ever gets hold of power.
While his guilt or innocence remains to be seen, I remember during the Bernie Goetz media circus hearing ad nauseum how a DA or grand jury “can indict a ham sandwich”.
I would love to hear what you find out. This smells to high heaven.
Is there a single Republican Governor in the entire country with the brains and ruthlessness to completely destroy the democrat party in his own state?
Put these communist bastards in jail, bankrupt them , send them into hiding, do SOMETHING for Gods sake.
FWIW, the Attorney General, who requested the Grand Jury, is a Republican. If it’s a witch hunt, it appears to be an intra-party one.
The timing is amazing, but the witch hunt has been going on for 18 months.
Dem’s don’t have a corner on the corruption market.
Could be a RINO attack.
Many details here:http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2014/10/mike_hubbard_indicted_bob_rile.html
“...Riley, with help from Hubbard and state Senate President Pro Tem Del Marsh, set up the Alabama 14 political action committee, with a goal to elect truly conservative Republicans. Riley’s daughter, Birmingham lawyer Minda Riley, headed up initial fundraising for the PAC, which this year received contributions topping $670,000.
The PAC’s activities touched off tension in the state Republican Party, and put Hubbard and Marsh at odds with the party’s new chairman, Bill Armistead.”
Oh yes they do when it comes to prosecutorial corruption.
If you like your corrupt state house speaker, you can keep your state house speaker....Period!!!
IOW, governing while Republican.
apparently he got caught acting like a democrat, they hate competition
And Ted Stevens.
From friends who actually know him.
I noticed that too. Right away.
Bottom line: If the guy is dirty, get him out of there.
No argument here.
Yes, the charges are not expected to stick, but an appearance of residue of dirt will.
