In May, Monica Lewinsky vowed to speak out in order "to stick my head above the parapet so that I can take back my narrative and give a purpose to my past."
Now she seems to be doing just that -- on Twitter.
Just months after Lewinsky’s personal revelations were made public in a Vanity Fair interview, she sent her first tweet this morning.

I’d agree with you except for that whole “the economy buzzing along in 2000” thing. In 2000 after the dot com crash, the economy wasn’t doing too much buzzing. That Gore got as close as he did had more to do with an uninformed electorate and lying press than it did with any positives of Gore.

On one hand, yeah, she was a 22 year old kid, star-struck, and here’s the POTUS making moves on her.
But... she also knew full well what she was doing, so...
I have a difficult time with any sympathy for her. Was she used and abused by the Clintons? Absolutely. Par for the course with that crew.
But she could have said “No” at any time and walked away from him.

Don’t know how old you are; I’m 53. Assuming you’re probably within a years up or down of me.
A 22yr old isn’t on the same level of maturity, nor wisdom, nor knowledge that you and I are.
In her case, I’d say she was still a “kid” in way of thinking, and clearly in the immaturity of her choice.
But techically, yes, you’re correct. Maybe it would have been clearer saying that she still had a youngster’s brain.
