A rare appearance on the campaign trail by President Obama on Sunday night was marred by a steady stream of crowd members leaving early and even a yelling heckler.
The president had shown up at the Democratic rally in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, near Washington, to support Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown, who is running for governor.
With Obama's approval levels hovering around record lows, many candidates from his party have been wary of appearing with the president during their election races because of his sagging popularity.

I guess people forget how the Slickster showing up to support any candidate was considered poison to any campaign. I think only one candidate he ever supported won. Behind the scenes Dem campaigns were quietly asking that he stay away.

Not in this lifetime. THO, if you look at voting results, MD is fine beyond Baltimore, PG and Montgomery County. If these PG voters stay home, it may be a closer race than expected. I expect the party will get them out and voting come 11/4/14.
They are getting all the money that would otherwise be rebuilding their cities and infrastructure. Now they live in ruins. The gimmiedats can’t figure it out.
The audience is urban and has been abundantly supplied with food.
It doesn’t matter if they walk out. The President enjoys free limitless golf and travel for another 27 months.

Nothing!!! It’s stricly a culture, slavery thing!!! It goes back to their “Tribal” culture and “Chief’ mentality. The tribal chief gives the orders....they obey them, no matter what!!! Today’s tribal chiefs for African-Americans are: Obama, the Congressional Black Caucus, the NAACP, The Democrat Party, their false Christian preachers, pastors, ministers, reverands, etc. that keep them in line with the weighty chains of economic, opportunity, poverty slavery!!!
Their leaders from Obama on down...feed off their misery and prosper...while they remain mired in misery land!!! However....like all oppressed people....there are those among them that see the light and, over time they see the way and path to freedom!!! That is what is afoot right now. There will be no more following Union, General Sherman through Georgia as their savior. That gig got hundreds of slaves drowned, when Sherman abandoned them in a river crossing, and moved on to burn down the South!!! Obama is their Sherman of today!!! And...they are beginning to realize, that Obama is not one of them, he never was and never will be!!!
