It is clear that this is no longer an outbreak of Ebola, it's a breakout of Ebola. We are now living in a post-containment world. Fortunately, this virus has vulnerabilities, and we can quickly improve our immune defense.
When the protective suits and procedures fail to keep Ebola at arm's length, it becomes a fight between the organism and the defense. As there is no vaccine and there are no Ebola-specific drugs, it's time to help Americans understand what can be done.
We have two types of immune defense: adaptive defense, which allows us to utilize preformed antibodies and anti-viral killer cells, and innate defense, which allows us to fight a microorganism we have never encountered. Both defenses are highly dependent upon the availability of vitamin D3. Once summer ends, the levels of D3 begin the seasonal decline and we experience a dramatic increase in viral diseases.
As many patients have learned, measuring and increasing the blood levels of vitamin D3 (25-OH vitamin D) can significantly reduce the incidence and severity of the cold and flu viruses. Unlike those seasonal viruses, we have had no prior Ebola infections, and the ongoing research into Ebola vaccines appears to be a future possibility, but not a current reality. Ebola is one of the enveloped viruses, which are highly vulnerable to cathelicidin. Vitamin D3 up regulates the production of cathelicidin and is central to any strategy seeking to upgrade viral immune system defense.
The formal name for Ebola is Ebola hemorrhagic fever. With fever being the early symptom, the hemorrhage is the late-stage sign that the patient can no longer resist and the immune system capitulates. These terminal signs include the failure of multiple organ systems and widespread, uncontrollable hemorrhage from multiple sites....

Actually, red algae supplements have been shown to have ingredients that break down the external wall of viruses, permitting the body’s immune system to attack them.
It seems to work well with such varied things as warts, herpes, HIV—and, in tests on mice, with ebola. There are hopes it can finally be the “magic bullet” to attack viruses.
Don’t know if it will work, but it’s not expensive and if it doesn’t work, you won’t need the money anyway...
What this doctor asserts makes really good sense.Chances are really good if vitamin levels are kept at a high level ebola will not do the damage it could. At least half the effected survive even now. Probably higher in the US.
A high level of vitamin C and D would surely help if not increase those chances.
Intravenous is a whole different and much more efficient world as well. Oral hard vitamins needing to be facilitated by the liver I would guess are hugely inefficient.
Lots of good info here:
Vitamin C to Treat Viral Diseases
Suggest you download and read the free book. It's a long read but well worth your time.
“Im betting on nicotine,

Me too-——maybe Ebola only thrives in smoke-free zones.:-)
.
There's a poster over at The Hill who is claiming that very thing. His mission in life is legalization and he claims that Republicans are keeping the marijuana cure for Ebola illegal.
Yes....some liberals are that far out there
Sorry to burst the bubbles of the vitamin poppers but unless you’re pregnant or have a specific vitamin deficiency, vitamin supplements are nothing more than a waste of money even the World Health Organization has finally had to admit there is no health benefit to taking vitamins.
the guy who came up with the idea of taking massive amounts of vitamin C follow up with your number of diseases had won a Nobel Prize for something unrelated later in his career was being to be a quack for his theories on vitamins.
Liposomal Vitamin C. I’ve read it’s supposed to be as good, or better than IV.
Oral could be tricky if someone’s barfing, though =/
Many, many doctors and other health experts disagree with your theory.
Yeah, that’s the ticket.
Linus Pauling, an early proponent of the mega doses of vitamin C, went so far overboard with it that he is now considered a quack regarding his recommendations on that subject.

My prior statement possibly should have been in the past tense. Don’t know if he is still alive.
Theoretically, Vitamin C may help as an antioxidant and with the hemorrhaging in high enough IV doses, e.g. 1000mg IV Vitamin C, (Sodium Ascorbate), administered as a slow drip, every 4 hours. The addition of Vitamin D3 and Vitamin E would be interesting also.
From Here:
" Vitamin C has been shown to inhibit viral replication in vitro (in the lab). And we know that in vitro very high doses of vitamin C generate hydrogen peroxide which has antimicrobial actions, but for this you would probably need intravenous vitamin C."
Another interesting article Here
I'm sure it's not going to be a panacea, but I haven't been able to find anything where it's been tried on a regular therapeutic basis with doses up to 10 grams a day IV. Worth a try with a 50-70% mortality. .
I have a doctor who’s treated serious West Nile infections here in Colorado quite successfully with IV infusions of 50 grams of Vitamin C. He says he’s not seen anything else that helps.
Didn’t say it was perfect.
People die from MRSA all the time as well and yet there are more survivors than tombstones.
Success is highly dependent upon recognition of the illness, it’s arc relative to its apex and proper care.
I believe that the only thing that will cure ebola is spilling the blood of liberal democrats and RINO’s on the ground. LOTS of it.
Hey, that’s one way to get rid of them!
But there are some things we are unable to treat effectively despite the right diagnosis and all available therapy. These patients die of more than dehydration.
Are we discussing absolutes or probabilities of condtion, environment and treatment?
People die of mortality too, despite all efforts.
Sorry, but you are gravely mistaken and there are volumes of data to prove it!
Linus Pauling used IV vitamin C therapy, the replication of his work was done using oral vitamin C, which resulted in a pseudo-repudiation of his work. There are plenty of doctors today who are seeing great results with IV vitamin C, as Linus Pauling predicted.
