ISN'T IT OBVIOUS?
This warning label (among about a half dozen warning labels) appears on my son's baby carriage: Do not fold carriage with baby inside! It may seem funny to state something so obvious, but I suppose to cover themselves against lawsuits from people who couldn't figure out to first remove the baby, they put on the warning label. The Prophet Micah gives us easy-to-follow instructions for a good life that seems so obvious and elementary we wonder, is that all we have to do to live happily and peacefully?
The answer is YES! All we need do is follow these simple rules:
To do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God!
Micah 6:8

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.

Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...a Blessed Lord’s Day and Shavua Tov to you and yours.
Good Saturday lessons? A yard sale? The choir ready for Sunday Services?
Your signs are a great example of “Isn’t It Obvious?”
I’m fighting a cold. Been busy all day and am just about out of energy.

The Right Foundation
Oct 19, 2014
Read: Matthew 7:2429
Ive got bad news for you, said the builder, who was renovating an old house I had inherited. When we started to convert the back half of the garage for your office, we found that the walls had almost no foundation. We will have to demolish them, dig proper foundations, and start again.
Do you have to do that? I pleaded, silently calculating the extra cost. Cant you just patch it up? But the builder was adamant. Unless we go down to the proper depth, the building inspector wont approve it. The right foundation is vital.
The right foundation makes the difference between something that lasts and something temporary. Jesus knew that though foundations are invisible, they are vitally important to the strength and stability of the house (Matt. 7:24-25), especially when it is battered by the elements. He also knew the hearts of His listeners. They would be tempted to take the easy way, find shortcuts, or do things by halves to gain their objectives.
Other foundations may be quicker and easier. Building our lives on the right foundation is hard work, but Gods truth is the only bedrock worth building on. When the storms of life hit, houses built on and held together by Him stand firm.
Father, the winds of lifes storms can be
powerful and threatening. Thank You for the
foundation of the truth of Your faithfulness. Help
me to rely on Your strength in my storms.
The wise man builds his house upon the Rock.
Jesus had just finished giving His Sermon on the Mount when He used the analogy found in todays passage. His teachings provide a stable foundation that will weather any storm. The wind, the rain, and the house are not the problem. The house built on the sand fell down because the sand provided no support in the wind and rain. The wind and rain washed and blew away the foundation so that there was nothing to support the house. Even the best house will crumble with no foundation.
