MEXICO CITY Protesters ransacked and burned government offices Monday in Chilpancingo, the capital of Guerrero state, in an explosion of outrage over the suspected kidnapping and murder of 43 students by corrupt local police.
Anti-government rallies have been held in several Mexican cities since the students disappearance Sept. 26 and the subsequent discovery of mass graves outside Iguala, about 120 miles south of Mexico City.
But on Monday, the protests turned violent.

Wow!
Mexicans are willing to fight their country rather than just head nort!
Great dignity.
We should help them take their nation back.
Far,far, far cheaper than allowing them to flee here.
I am not surprised at the anger, for the massacre of the students was a real atrocity.
Pena Nieto showed some promise early on but is now clearly revealed as a corrupt PRI hack just like all the others.
Something i’d probably cheer right here if folks started burning down gub mint crap.
Think about it, in Mexico they are not allowed to own weapons.
Long ago they tried to confiscate weapons in what is now Texas. See how that worked out.
Totalitarians in DC are still trying to push that. Anyone who has active grey matter sees their intent is evil. Puke Bureaucraps are too dumb to see what ComDem POLs have in mind. And some of the GOPe are no better.
Remember in November.
kinda like it here; all D'Rats Gov't. have been obliviously corrupt.
L"shoot'em"J/Jimmah Malasie's/Bubba's & "Bathhouse's", it's they're corrupt nature.
When Ebola hits Mexico, it will spread like wildfire and the demand to close the border will be overwhelming, but probably too late. Let’s hope that a vaccine is found before it’s too late.
Careful what you wish for.
I’ve been hearing about the “Mexican Revolution” movement since 1981 when I moved to Corpus Christ.
It was supposed to have happened in Carter’s second term. Reagans election put the skids to it.
The idea was to start a revolution in Mexico which would result in millions of “war refugees” streaming across our southern border.
Carter was supposed to create a 250 mile safe zone from our southern border for the refugees.
After the revolution, since there was so many millions of Mexicans living in this 250 mile safe zone, Carter would give the area back to Mexico.
Don’t put it past the radical left/communist bunch to murder a bunch of people to start their “revolution”.
If you get your wished for “revolution” in Mexico, they will bring the “revolution” to the US and try and take back the southern part of the US.
I heard about the bodies but of course I thought that drug people killed them. Why did government forces do this?
I was told Mexico allowed citizens to own shotguns and some handguns with a government “permit.”
Why do you think there is a difference?
Mexico is corrupt. “You can get anything you want” (as in Alice’s Restaurant) as long as you have money and know the right people.
Rule of Law in Mexico is a total joke.
100% corrupt culture.
Forget ISIS, we may need to move into Mexico. It’s a matter of when, not if.
I have bought Mexican asphalt into the US and sold US asphalt into Mexico over the years. The paving guys seem honest to me and they pay their bills.
I’m glad you had a good business experience with them.
A lot of residential paving contractor in the US have a poor reputation. Most of the commercial paving contractors are pretty solid from what I have seen.
There is nothing in Mexico that I am interested in.
A few things to know about Guerrero, and why it is in smoldering revolt.
In the southwest of Mexico, it is home to the resorts of Acapulco and others, the playground of the idle rich from the US and Europe. But outside of the fences surrounding the resorts of the wealthy, Guerrero is afflicted with grinding poverty. So much so that it is the Mexican state that sends more of its citizens to the US than any other.
So while Paris, Tiffini and Porche are sipping $25 Margaritas and eating lobster and cracked crab on one side of the fence, Mexicans are literally starving on the other side.
This causes a bit of resentment for some reason.
Because they are the big source of money, the local, state and national government support the tourists, not the Mexicans, and when the latter object too loudly, they come down on them like a ton of bricks. There is no respect for starving peons.
I have no idea why the local government decided to murder a bunch of students. But I am not terribly surprised.
“The plant itself was situated inside a walled compound with razor wire along the top of the walls. “
Yep, that’s the place.
Going inside did give me pause...
