Nashville Police Chief: Secret Service Tried to Fool Armed Homeowner with Fake Search Warrant By Robert Farago on October 16, 2014
Nashville Police Chief Steve Anderson recently sent a letter to Congress alleging that Secret Service agents asked Nashville police to falsify a warrant so that the agents could search the home of a Nashville resident who had posted about President Obama on Facebook, benswann.com reports. More specifically, in January of 2013, Secret Service agents working out of the Nashville field office visited the home of the resident who made the Facebook postings and knocked on his door. Then, an agent called local police and asked for backup, stating that the individual was refusing to let them in without a warrant and appeared to be armed. When Nashville police arrived . . .
they informed the Secret Service agents that the man in question is a licensed gun owner, did not violate the law, and that a warrant would be required in order to investigate further. Chief Anderson said in his letter, one of the agents then asked a [Nashville police] sergeant to wave a piece of paper in an apparent effort to dupe the resident into thinking that they indeed had a warrant. Faced with a request to violate their oath of office and the rights of a citizen, the officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department flatly refused and left the scene.
No word as to the ultimate fate of the Facebook poster, and no blowback for the Secret Service officers looking to cut Constitutional corners. And now that I think of it . . .
How did the Facebook poster appear to be armed, exactly? Also note: Volunteer State citizens dont need a license to buy a firearm. And theres no firearms registration. So how did the Nashville cops know the unidentified resident was armed? And the cops just left? That doesnt sound like normal police procedure to me especially when the Secret Service made the call.
Theres more to this story than meets the eye. Well dig around a bit.
Wow.
This is said to be a link to the relevant documents included with the letter:

Good for them!.....................
remember that low income, confused black women with a child in her car who was more or less executed next to the White House?
No one remembers that, but more of the same, here, apparently.
good post..!
4th and 2nd amendment.
Don't these morons take an oath to defend the Constitution?
Yeah, WOW! is right. Scary stuff.
Chapter XI is, “Why the Worst Get on Top.”
Societies trending toward authoritarianism attract thugs and those ruthless enough to grasp the power they lust for.
Good guy - SWAT team treatment
Bad guy - Disney-World treatment, you know, more welcoming
I’m all for the secret service but fake warrants are not acceptable !! Time to fire those responsible. Besides , real warrants are do incredibly easy to get ... ( which is another problem we have ...)
Federal agents are allowed by law to lie to us. I question so much as the time of day if they had a watch on. Federal agents are liars by trade, by training, and by law.
There is no such thing as a warrant to question someone.
No wonder Obama defended the Secret Service. Like the IRS, they do his dirty work for him.
Depends on the lie and the timing of it, but all government agents are allowed to lie. That is, what you describe doesn't associate just with the feds. Your state and local agents have exactly the same tools at their disposal.
Was thinking of that incident when he WH was recently breached. Do you have a link to it so we can obtain name, date etc
“they informed the Secret Service agents that the man in question is a licensed gun owner”
I strongly suspect that you don’t need a “license” to own a gun in TN. There seems to be a trend in media to refer to gun owners and their firearms as “licensed” when they mean legal. I suspect it’s to make the people think needing permission from the government to own firearms is normal.
” Your state and local agents have exactly the same tools [lies] at their disposal.”
Absolutely. If I am ever part of an investigation I would be the biggest prick: “So, you say that, but isn’t it part of you job to be a liar?”
one of the agents then asked a [Nashville police] sergeant to wave a piece of paper in an apparent effort to dupe the resident into thinking that they indeed had a warrant.
And the Police should have ARRESTED him right then for:
Attempted Armed Robbery
Attempted Breaking and Entering
Using a firearm during the course of a Violent Felony
That gives me a little bit of hope.
I remember that very well. thx
Dirty pigs.
