The mayor of Houston, TX, has subpoenaed the sermons of local pastors and the speeches of local religious leaders to see what they have to say about homosexuality.
I fear Annise Parker has never read the Bible. If she wanted some sermons so bad, she could go to church, but I dont know that she will. So I think we should help her out. You can get a copy of the NIV version on Amazon.com for $4.05.
Annise Parkers address is:
City of Houston
P.O. Box 1562
Houston, TX 77251
I kindly suggest you all send Ms. Parker a Bible. Maybe she might be tempted to read it.
No—Mayor Annise Parker needs a noose around her neck.
Not a bad idea. I do believe I’ll step up and send her one.
Send her a Koran as well, underlining the portions that prescribe killing everyone who doesn’t bow to mecca.
Then send it/her the mullah rulings about killing homos.
Include a note asking it/her which religion she’d prefer.
I think the liberals really over reached on this one. I hope that they back off and don’t try this anywhere else with churches.
As the culture embraces homosexuality, this is going to be a big fault line, in my opinion, between the religious community and secular law. Secular law is going to continue to include “anti discrimination” against homosexual and more bizarre people such as “trans-gendered”. Secular law is allowing homosexual marriage in more and more places. Eventually could happen in all 50 states.
Yet churches are out there saying that, no, homosexual behavior is sinful and against our religions teachings.
She does not need a Bible, she needs a copy of the Constitution and a history lesson regarding the separation of Church and State.
We all need the Bible.
She had the cheek to claim she was the victim, moaning about criticism from across the nation.
It’s akin to intentionally touching a hot stove and complaining about burns.
What she needs is salvation.
That would solve this whole problem.
She should go visit a few of these churches and listen to these sermons herself. Maybe she might learn some of the error of her ways.
Mayor, on right, marrying in California
I understand the author’s point, but I am strongly against doing this.
The Bible is the Word of God, we ought not cheapen it by sending it in quantities to one person who will then have them thrown away. The Word of God should not be used as a stunt.
She’s a reprobate. The bible will do her no good. (See Romans 1)
Never underestimate the power of God.
Bibles for Mayor Parker: A truer definition of pearls before swine one could not find.
If she was spiritually secure in her lesbianism same sex marriage she wouldn’t react like a tyrant when preachers touch on the topic. She be feeling guilty inside. Can’t justify sins.
NA I’ll sent her a REAL Bible, King James 1611 Version:
http://www.amazon.com/Study-Bible-Bonded-Leather-James/dp/1616260378/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1413470850&sr=8-2&keywords=king+james+study+bible
Indeed - who would treat the Word of God with such disdain as to cast it before this prideful unrepentant sinful woman?
God would. Why else send the Two Witnesses in the End Times, knowing what will happen to them?
*She does not need a Bible, she needs a copy of the Constitution and a history lesson regarding the separation of Church and State.*
She’ll put her eyes out trying to read the Constitution carefully enough to find “separation of Church and State”.
