DALLAS (Reuters) - A second Texas nurse who has contracted Ebola told a U.S. health official she had a slight fever and was allowed to board a plane from Ohio to Texas, a federal source said on Wednesday, intensifying concerns about the U.S. response to the deadly virus.
Amber Vinson, 29, flew from Cleveland, Ohio, to Dallas, Texas, on Monday, the day before she was diagnosed with Ebola, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.
Vinson told the CDC her temperature was 99.5 Fahrenheit (37.5 Celsius). Since that was below the CDC's temperature threshold of 100.4F, "she was not told not to fly," the source said. The news was first reported by CNN.
Chances that other passengers were infected were very low, but the nurse should not have been on the flight, CDC Director Dr. Thomas Frieden told reporters.
Vinson was isolated immediately after reporting a fever on Tuesday, Texas Department of State Health Services officials said. She had treated Liberian patient Thomas Eric Duncan, who died of Ebola on Oct. 8 and was the first patient diagnosed with the virus in the United States.
Vinson, a worker at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, had taken a Frontier Airlines flight to Cleveland from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on Friday. She returned to Dallas on Monday aboard Frontier Flight 1143.

Who in the right mind would go to that hospital? Or to the Dallas areas for that matter.
Thanks, TSR and blam.
I honestly was trying to figure out a new tagline, based on this maelstrom of events and those leading to the
I’m too tired to do so now, and must be alert for work tomorrow a.m. — scheduled too many things for 9 a.m. writing of the Declaration of Independence. or thereabouts. LOL! I’ll get it done to make everyone happy, though. :)
However, I’m very sure our Forefathers would be furious at what is going on.
Take care.
Our kids are supposed to be coming in for Christmas. One can drive, but the other would have to fly. I know I’ll be called Dr Doom, too, if I mention canceling plans to fly down.
BTW....my bleach wipes worked (that I made and put in a baggie). The only thing, after about a week, I could no longer smell the bleach. I also found 99% alcohol. I’m going to try making some with that.
Very well said and it can't be stated enough. I recall a time when all of my medical practitioners were white and spoke crisp, precise standard English. Nowadays, they're nearly all darkskinned, babbling away in some incompressible language. America needs to become thoroughly American again. President Calvin Coolidge warned about the dangers of diversity in the 1920s. Multiculturalism is a death sentence.
Lots of flying in my family too.
I just pray——and keep my fingers crossed.

Duncan was admitted on 9/28. If she was part of the team caring for him then, Friday would have been the 12th day.
While the symptoms can develop in 2-22 days (per prior reports), it is seen more often around the 8-10 day period.
The guy/gal she sat next to must be sweating bullets:
So what do you do, young lady?
Oh, I’m a nurse! In fact I’ve been nursing that individual you may have heard about on the news. Well, I’m a little tired now and a little flushed, so I’m just going to shut my eyes.
:’O
Yes...prayers and keeping immune systems built up.
“When he answered the email, he was in Copenhagen on vacation. “

Hi, blam,
had to answer; just looked up Copenhagen and ebola. There was a brief scare, but negative results—false alarm today:

We had the same thing here in Ottawa yesterday; the good thing is, people are realizing what’s going on and are calling ahead (at least this person here did). When he arrived at the hospital, he was immediately isolated; he ended up testing negative as well.
And there was a Canadian Forces soldier in Ontario who reported he’d been in West Africa; he contacted authorities and tested negative.
So those people who are aware and informed are doing what they need to do (unlike our government!!).
And, perhaps the cold weather will help your son. “Dr. Doom”—don’t feel bad. My family always calls me a “worrywart.” :)
I always figure, prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Perhaps that might be the new tagline! LOL!
I hope your son has a very nice time.... and perhaps to stay as long as he can there. :)
Julie
I liked you idea and plan to use it ...when necessary. I'll wait to combine the ingredents until the time I think I'll start needing it.
Belton ISD student was on flight with 2nd Ebola-infected nurse
Apparently, a middle school student from the Belton, TX area was also on board Frontier 1143, and attended classes on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Oh, boy...here's where it may start to get hairy.
Frontier Airlines welcomes everyone aboard, and we hope you have a nice flight to Dallas. We’ve been informed we have an Ebola infected passenger, but there is no need to worry. We suggest everyone self quarantine for the duration of this flight and for the next 25 days. And for safety purposes, we suggest everyone perform and anal temperature examine when you get to your destination.
Have a nice flight and be sure to use Frontier Airlines in the future.
There are posters around saying everybody is to concerned.
I ask them why the CDC wants anyone on that flight to contact them. It’s not like everyone was lining up to lick her face during their time in that tube together.
There was a time when CDC stood for “Centers for Disease Control and Prevention”.
With Obama and his corrupt and treasonist democrats in power, it has become:
CDC = Centers for Deception - Confusion and Propaganda.
Maybe she walked back to the toilet, used it, and touched the seat headrests, the door handles and the sink handles.
CNN is reporting crews at the White House are sealing the facility in some type of plastic sheeting. All tours have been cancelled until further notice.
Maybe. You and I will never know. The cabin has cameras.
Sealing the White House?
A fumigation tent?
Scary version, what if they want it to spread. How many Hanson types have to write a book spelling out their belief that there are too many humans until we believe they mean it. What if the far left wants it here?
