JUST IN: CDC & Frontier Airlines: 2nd health care worker diagnosed with Ebola flew from Cleveland to Dallas on Monday
(Excerpt) Read more at twitter.com ...
Now that we found out that the 26 year old 1st nurse GOT ON A DAMN AIRPLANE.....we are 50/50 calling it off. We want to wait until 21 days to see if anyone ELSE not associated with Dallas falls ill.....and then possibly cancel.
You couldn’t pay me to go to an airport right now...much less on a plane.
Yet another reason I fly first class on the more exclusive air carriers -— when I must, that is.
[ Dose up, alot, on Vitamin C which has shown some success in fighting off this virus.
I’d like to see some real scientific evidence of that. Internet anecdotes and conjecture don’t count. ]
Ebola seems to use up all your Vitamin C in short order, and some of the symptoms are basically a form of scurvy,...
But this is heresay..
Hearing now that her family has three kids that attend Kent, that she probably didn’t visit.
Oh, no kidding.
Just saying though.
The comments on DM are scathing:
Yes, dear leader rides buses regularly. No wait. That’s golf carts. You can’t get it by sitting next to someone on a golf cart. Maybe that’s what he meant.
visiting Amber’s facebook page. Chances are she has one.
Agree. We need a good graphic to go with....so it can be posted, tweeted, FB’d, far and wide.
I don’t know how (I’m stupid on the computer). Do you correspond with anyone on here who does that regularly?
Shades of "The Strain"!
I’d like to know where she went also-———a friend going to Cleveland this week-end.
Staying in a hotel.
.
I heard she went to a college football game. Under the right conditions it can last 6 days on a surface.
I can just imagine a few of the people on that flight not calling that number.
“I’m too busy. Odds are I don’t have it, but they’ll put me in quarantine for 21 days.”
“Odds are I don’t have it. If I call, my outstanding warrant/child support back pay/etc. will be found out.”
“Odds are I don’t have it. If I call they’ll send me back to Mexico.”
“Odds are I don’t have it. I’ll hop on a plane and go to the game in Cleveland.” Oh, wait.
Neither do I....I know there are many FReepers who do have the skills. If the GOPe won’t fight, it’s up to us.
I’ll repeat the same lost I made on another related thread (and thank you for posting the actual statement from the CDC. Now their incompetence is on full undeniable display):
The CDC is saying in this official statement that she was asymptomatic during the flight. Now they say she had a fever of 99.5. (Elsewhere this is being reported)
Which is it CDC? She did or did not have symptoms during the flight?
And this still begs the overarching question: since no one (as of now at least) is saying she was vomiting or bleeding or sweating profusely at the time, WHY is the contact she had with other passengers considered a risk, even if only a low one at that?
They have said repeatedly, we can NOT get Ebola as long as there is no contact with bodily fluids. So where are the fluids that give the risk?!?
These guys are absolutely incompetent!
