Just be sure to tell big city RATS that voting won’t be safe this year.
In urban areas to make voting safer and cut down crowding, Republicans should vote Tues, and Demonrats will vote Wed.
Hang the bastards in DC and the CDC for lying to the people.
Frieden must have meant this was he said “brace yourselves”.
Or will there be 70 more?
“The next 10 days or so are going to be interesting.”
There is a major election in 20 days. The Ebola crisis wraps up healthcare, national security, and immigration policy in one very tight package. The administration is badly and publicly fumbling its response to the crisis.
If the Republicans held the White House today the Democrat propaganda machine would be in overdrive attack mode (remember Katrina). The Republicans have an unique opportunity to step up and look like responsible adults, capable of dealing with a very real crisis, while Obama and his team continue to be obsessed with political correctness. The leaders of a real opposition party would be standing in front of cameras today demanding the CDC head be replaced, the borders be locked down, and the President stop fundraising from billionaires long enough to roll up his sleeves in the White House and start really managing the crisis.
Unfortunately Boehner and McConnell are political hacks, not patriots or leaders.
Good. but that makes 2 out of a couple hunderd. Hardly a trend.
I get that people want to believe. But the facts are what they are.
Yes, this is definitely something to worry about. What's the difference between getting people to become suicide bombers, vs. getting them to contract Ebola and then just walk around in society transmitting the disease? There's a study in which Ebola was aerosolized, and was able to infect Rhesus Monkeys. That's scary, as it suggests respiratory transmission and the possibility to weaponize. Horrible.
All one needs to do is look at the situation and draw logical conclusions based on the evidence. We were screwed the moment that guy tested positive. Everyone he came into contact with has spread ebola since. And of them, extrapolate from there.
Stop the flights.
If it saves just one child......
More than a few Republicans have been calling for shutting down travel to Africa.
Thank you!
Boehner? McConnell? Upton? Shuster? McCarthy?
When? 3 weeks ago when it might have made a difference? Or since people began waking up to the reality of the situation and they realized their ass was in trouble? The leadership has said nothing. The leadership has made it clear they want the borders open.
The fact that we cannot say with confidence “The republicans demand that flights be stopped and the border sealed id a problem. And we most assuredly cannot.
We have a Liberian national in quarantine here. Of course, it is racist and the local agitators are screaming.
Just like HIV, they have turned a disease into a civil rights issue.
They are counting on no one pushing back. I think they are wrong, and if this keeps up....
hmm, have we seen Frieden or any other of his CDC minions visit that infected nurse wearing the same gear she had?
Nope. The CDC all suit up like bubble boy. So what does that tell you?
and as for our 3000 military in Liberia- can we even imagine what protocol they are being advised to follow in the primitive field conditions in a country where the vast majority have no toilets, where no one can touch any other person or touch what they touched- other than being issued hand sanitizer
Internet caretaker ICANN to escape US control
"While cautioning that there was no strict deadline, he said that substantial progress has been made toward ICANN being answerable to a diverse, global group of "stakeholders" and not the just the US government, as has long been the case."
Or basically a no doubt semi-literate family from Africa (the apartment) had better procedures than our vaunted “FIRST WORLD HEALTH CARE SYSTEM” aint that special.
