Either Frieden is in denial or he is one extremely stupid man. Either way, you are right, these guidelines for health workers in the US are dangerous. Are the troops going into the hot zone bound by the CDC's "protocols"?

I know what you’re getting at. It has to start with me and everybody else has to feel the same way! Otherwise, it just doesn’t happen!
How does a person organize such a thing?
To: Kackikat
I don’t see anyone disputing that. They are using the wrong protocols.

So far it's on track. Most patients infect at least 2 others or so. Whatever happened to the family of Clark? No interviews? No "good news they don't have Ebola!". Just silence.
I'm starting to think it's much much worse then they're letting on.

Both Ted Cruz and Rand Paul have called for stopping flights out of West Africa. Rick Perry on the other hand said flights should continue. Other then these three crickets from the GOP.

It will be hard to have Utopia if all the slave class dies. The head honchos might have to actually do manual labor. Something they know nothing about and are unprepared to do.
Doggone those unintended consequences.

WFAA TV retweeted Janet St. James @janetstjames · 11m 11 minutes ago BREAKING: #Ebola patient 3 was Not among workers previously checked out.
But then this:
WFAA TV @wfaachannel8 · 21m 21 minutes ago Dr. Daniel Varga of @texashealth speaking now. Says new #Ebola patient was involved in care of Duncan.
Really? So if she was involved with his care, why wasn't she "checked out"?
Maybe she wasn't directly involved with his care...like a lab technician. Strange.

They have to perform a second test. It is well known that often a patient will first test negative until their viral load is higher. This was the case with Dr. Brantly. He first tested negative, 72 hours later he tested positive.
Also, there can be dual infections. Ebola and Malaria, Ebola and Typhoid, etc., so I hope they are testing for everything. But it's the CDC, and they have already proved their incompetence. That doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

This guy was throwing up and reported explosive bowel movements....and no other person in that tiny apartment became exposed? Quite curious.
We are having discussions about that here too. Seems to be no way some of those people are not already sick. Government officials have to be lying.

Don't know. I wouldn't believe anyone in govt anymore to tell us one way or another what their exposure will be.

Yea....I'm getting a real eerie feeling. Listening to that CDC feller on t.v. last evening convinced me that either they have no freakin clue or their is some sort of an agenda.
Not sure which, but both are bad.
To: dforest
They don’t need many. Eliminate most of the people and the elites can live on the remaining stocks now in existence for a thousand years.
Just some pilots, some crews to run a refinery and a couple lawn care specialists is about all that’s required to begin.
Then, their Brave new world will cause anyone convicted of a crime to be demoted to the slave class and put to work doing manicures and such.

Anybody think that Obola will announce a newly produced stockpile of ZMapp right before the election?

I think we should stop flights from West Africa too, but that would NOT have stopped these people from being infected by Thomas Duncan; he arrived in the US on a flight from Brussels.
in addition to banning flights from West Africa, we should stop granting entry visas to people from countries there.
