Sounds like soldiers talk to me. Been in 27 years and never referred to it as “code red.” Now if he said they’d been given a PTDO...then maybe. Code red? Sounds like something an E-1 or Hollywood actor would say. I sure haven’t heard anything about it...and chances are high I would have.

And tell your friend this for me: if this is real...it’s probably classified at least secret if not TS...so unless you have a current security clearance and a need to know... Tell him to keep his mouth shut instead of trying to look important. Even if it’s a rumor and not true he shouldn’t be blabbing about what would surely be classified.
