... Whats particularly interesting about this discussion, then, is that nobody has even discussed the fact that the federal government not ten years ago created and funded a brand new office in the Health and Human Services Department specifically to coordinate preparation for and response to public health threats like Ebola. The woman who heads that office, and reports directly to the HHS secretary, has been mysteriously invisible from the public handling of this threat. And shes still on the job even though three years ago she was embroiled in a huge scandal of funneling a major stream of funding to a company with ties to a Democratic donorand away from a company that was developing a treatment now being used on Ebola patients.

Ping.
Corruption.
Mmmmm Mmmmmm Mmmmmmm.
The commie fool is probably behind a computer figuring and re-figuring here retirement benefits...and watching porn. Isn’t that what political appointees in the federal government do? Whatever she is doing, she probably should be arrested.
Be sure to read the bit about the company making the antiviral compound, given too late to do any good to Duncan, in all of this...
Great post. Thank you.
Corruption is what it is.

“Other limited government types point to the Progressive utopian foolishness seen in opposing political factions, both sides of which seem to agree humanity could somehow escape calamity if only we had a properly functioning government. People who dont want an all-powerful government shouldnt blame it for not having competence when crisis strikes.”
What?! One does not follow the other...or...he’s mixing two different concepts to sound like one thing...or both at the same time.
NOBODY suggests that humanity could somehow escape ANY KIND of calamity with a functioning government. The DO suggest that it could eliminate a lot of waste, fraud and abuse...leaving resources for things like...ummm...Ebola.
And people who dont want an all-powerful government CAN AND SHOULD blame it for not having competence when crisis strikes IF THE GOVERNMENT WAS MADE ALL POWERFUL DESPITE THEIR OBJECTIONS!
Geezzz....
Interesting article.
For those who thought Bush was incompetent, wow. This has to be the most underhanded, incompetent bunch of people I have ever seen! I can deal with stupid, but this is beyond absurd!

She’s probably busy making sure her email gets lost on the 18 different servers to which it’s archived.
Very good article.
The level of wide spread corruption in our government is breathtaking.
I imagine a lot of Barry’s people are busy sanitizing their computers and “smart” phones. Got to get rid of those pesky emails don’t ya know.
