Theres no good time to tell a guy youre a virgin. First date? Too much, too soon. Wait until the third date and you risk being considered a tease. Second date? Perhaps, but at this point youre both still fretting over whether or not to eat another piece of bread; delving into sexual histories (or lack thereof) seems a bit extreme. So: Theres no good time to tell a guy youre a virgin. Even worse? Telling him youre waiting until marriage.

I guess moderation in tribalism?
It just disgusts me and makes my skin crawl
“Use it or lose it” is the old saying.
What an explosion of negative verbiage in reaction to one simple sentence on my part, which was: “Not in a favorable manner are they Biblical,” referring to nose rings. The most neutral thing I can say is that a nose ring is perceived as worldly and rebellious, requiring that the body be marked, which is not viewed favorably in the Bible.
“Im sorry, but the facts bear weight here. Guys do not tolerate a chaste relationship because the have no reason to. Why spend a year in sexual frustration and have to make a life-time commitment to a woman when the next girl will put out without all the baggage?”
Not sure your point.
It is true of non-Christian America.
But should not be true of a Christian man.
That's what weed does to your brain I guess.
Some have stronger stomachs than others, I guess.
“tattoos are no longer a cultural taboo, they are statements of who you are...”
Neither is sodomy.
Neither is abortion.
Still think it’s “over the top” or do you see the point?
I thought about it.
We are made in God’s image and some humans reject that image by mutilating themselves and making themselves look different.
It is a rejection of God in a way
I would go out with her
Somebunny ran off with your “g” ?
Still defiantly not reading scripture?
But you desire te be taken as if you were a person to whom scripture mattered.
Parse Genesis chapter 24.
What was God’s plan to provide Isaac with a wife?
We can do this step by step (since you are unwilling or incapable of reading the Bible by yourself) or you can Hoot and Hollar all day while trying to deny both the text in question and the context in which it was given.
I don't lump in tattoos with sodomy and abortion...
Gee, one is considered to many as art, (not myself) the other are murder and sexual perversion...
I’ve seen some articles that address the issue of single women at age 32 or so who live alone. You’d be surprised how few of them percentage wise go on to get married after that. I will say that more women are waiting later in life to get married.
So yes you are right. It’s not the virginity issue. It’s the issue of her simply not making connections.
While you may be right in attributing it to her being stupid and looking for the wrong kind of guys, the dynamic still plays out for these and I’m sure other reasons.
Why not lump tattoos in with sodomy or abortion?
I think it’s you who needs to make the case v
I’m now in my second marriage. I lived with and had sex with my first wife before we were married (continuing the auto metaphor, she was a Yugo :-))and we had a horrible marriage that lasted only seven years. I lived with and had sex with my second wife before we were married (a Porsche) and we have been very happily married for eleven years. I’m not sure what that means other than that for me when the sex was lousy the marriage was lousy and when the sex was good the marriage was good.
Cite the scripture rather than merely going on about it, please. Marking the body is frowned upon and even forbidden in the OT. Maintaining an appearance of propriety in the eyes of your people is admonished in Romans as far as NT, to name a few.
So, have at it. It seems as if this is a topic that carries a great deal of emotional weight for you. I’m sure, then, that you’ll be pleased to provide the scriptural rationale.
I have a friend in her 50’s who is attractive and a virgin. I’d marry her tomorrow but only because she is also rich.
You wouldn’t want to be standing next to that during a lightning storm.
I thinq you need a new keyboard.
Yes it does.
And then sometimes things go “south” - reeeeeeeal fast ...... the bitch even murdered my child before she decided to check out that green grass on the other side -o - da - fence. She soon found that she was missing nothing on the other side, well, except perhaps that true, passionate, unconditional love(er) that she had known aaaallll along. Muddling through life with a broken heart ( on several levels ) is no party. It shows on her face too.( Angelic perfection to OMG !! )
Just for the record, I do ask for forgiveness when I smirk from time to time, at the third rate life she finally settled for and God approved. It’s sad that we men are labeled the “pigs” all the time.
Yes indeed - true love does wait. OLA, sometimes it hurts too. . . .
Snoot ;o)
