Baptist Hospital. That’s where I had my tonsils out in 4th grade. They still used ether to knock you out. They would put a mask over your mouth and nose and drop some drops of ether on it til you went to sleep. Some got in one of my eyes and I had a swollen shut eye for about 4 days.

I knew I was really in a bad way because my Mom let my cat Zeke in and he got to lounge on the bed with me. She hates cats. LOL! At our house you could gage how near death you were by how fast they let Zeke in. LOL!
