Libertarian my butt.
People who pretend their desire to dictate how other people live and behave is "libertarian" are lying jerks.
Exactly.

My response would be Libertarian, namely, take responsibility for my own choices."Libertarian" denotes a party membership. "libertarian" describes a political philosophy. A real libertarian would know that.

Well, forced tobacco withdrawal works in prisons.
What could possibly go wrong?

The two yard periods that I went through were bad for my health. Inbound ordnance was bad for my health. Outbound ordnance was bad for my health. Constant noise, fumes and all of the asbestos was bad for my health. Dangerous evolutions were bad for my health. Being the #1 OBA Man onboard ship was bad for my health. Otto fuel was bad for our health. Having to manually lift and carry torpedoes was bad for our health. Downloading ASROCs at night on antiquated equipment was bad for our health. Liberty in Subic Bay was bad for my health. Shipboard life in general is bad for one’s health.
I could go on enlightening you as to things that were bad for our health, but I think the point is obvious.

I really despise liberals. I’m an ex-smoker, but support folks right to smoke.
In fact, when I’m close to death, I will instruct my son to bring a shot of the finest bourbon and a cigarette.
I like your style!

When I was in USMC Boot Camp in 1966, and a Smoking Formation was called, the non-smokers (maybe a third of the platoon) were punished by having to run to the barracks, grab their toothbrushes and Non-smokers: Brush your fangs!
Air Force Basic Training, 1985. “Smokers, fall to the rear.”
While the non-smokers remained in formation at Parade Rest or At Ease we could stand in a loose cluster, smokin’ and jokin’.
I think the non smokers secretly hated us.

I have no problem with this.
The taxpayers - current and future - pay for military health care.
Fewer smokers mean costs go down, plus, healthier human beings and families.
With the totalitarian new healthcare laws, taxpayers will also cover your healthcosts.
I hope you enjoy your low-fat vegetarian government prescribed diet. In fact, everything that the state deems “bad for you” will become illegal.
Enjoy your “Brave New World.” You asked for it.

My son trained at Parris Island in 1986——no smoking allowed for the recruits.

Don’t forget, you must wear a seat belt when driving from home to the base. Safety first! lol

Throw in sleep deprivation and automatic weapons.
Sounds like we’re in for a real party!
