A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the sexual assault last week of a 100-year-old woman, Wichita police said Friday.
The man was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on suspicion of rape and aggravated burglary, Wichita police Capt. Troy Livingston said. Police would not name the man, but jail and police records identified him as Kasey L. Nesbitt of Wichita. The man was arrested Monday in connection with a separate burglary case, jail records show. He was rebooked into the jail Thursday.
Kansas Department of Corrections records show Nesbitt has been in and out of prison since 1999, mostly on burglary and theft convictions. He was released in January 2013. The assault occurred overnight on Monday and Tuesday of last week, Livingston said. The woman walked to a neighbors house at about 7:15 a.m. Sept. 30 and told the neighbor there were people inside her house in the 800 block of South Crestway.
Shes a strong and brave woman who was able to give us information, Livingston said of the victim. She seems to be doing fine, and her family is taking care of her.
Police soon had a suspect, but waited to make an arrest while they collected more evidence, police said. The woman, who lives alone, said she was awakened about 9 p.m. by the intruders inside her house, police said. One or more burglars forced their way inside through a back door. They remained in the house for several hours.Investigators are still trying to determine whether any property was taken.
This case was harder for our detectives to even grasp, not just the detectives on the case but all the detectives, Livingston said. They were all pretty shocked by this.
I know that is an accepted truism. I am not a psychologist or a health care related individual. I still believe there is a sex drive in these people, and at least some of them are doing something that satisfied their sexual urges.
Are they incorporating divergent practices bearing only a narrow or massive divergence from the norm? Yes, I believe they are. As anger enters into it, I think your classification becomes more prominent.
There are mental issues involved too. These become psychotic at some point.
I’m not trying to minimize the problem, explain it away as something less than what it is by design, or dismiss anything that is vile and unacceptable here.
This is an explanation of my own views. I’m not saying anyone else should buy into them.
Okay, I understand where you are coming from. I find your take to be reasoned, at least trying to objectively quantify this group for your own edification.
I try not to get very closed minded on all this, because women’s groups view rape so negatively that they want to believe it wasn’t about sex at all. I respect their right to hold that or about any view they want if it brings them comfort.
This is entirely reasoned. I’m not here to pick fights on this, because it’s a fluid topic in my opinion. An exchange of ideas is reasoned, but people should adopt a view that works for them.
Rape is an incredibly disgusting act. No human should be subjected to that sort of domination.
Cue adult movie music on phonograph.
And 1/3 or them or more are likely not even US citizens.
What a country.
I wouldn’t be surprised.
If he had raped my grandmother, the son of a bitch would already be dead. Justice served.
I bet me and Beckett...my 135 pound and growing Rott could get that smirk off his d*cksucker lips
Even though regular rapists to some degree skate in prison I suspect this might be treated like child molesting by his fellow prisoners
Same difference really DO
Raping a poor 100 year old woman of any stripe is heinous...beyond the pale
He should die for it
Lol
Read up on African history
Pay attention to barracoon life
Matt can reccomend a book written by a man who witnessed west African life in early 1800s
Tropical African culture anywhere in the world except Bermuda and other banking islands is statistically more violent
Than any other race
One can debate why forever
Places where there is no white man to blame for it
Me....I blame geographic isolation and culture lag and manifestations beyond simply physical anomalies
Of course.....that puts me in Bell Curve/Derbyshire/Rushton school of thought
Not many places in Minnesota to observe this....
Welfare busted the black family...it was already 10-20 times more likely to be headed by a woman a white family before welfare but the handout victimhood racket truly threw black daddies under the bus
Electric bleachers. Aluminum is a fine conductor. Hose them down and throw the switch.
I highly recommend this book. It’s a free download on Kindle. A few clicks and you own it gratis.
Captain Canot or, Twenty Years of an African Slaver [Kindle Edition]
That’s Hootie....from Hootie and the blowfish....
There’s no description. What’s it about?
A Genoese kid apprentices to sea, winds up in New York. He rapidly advances through the ranks to become a young sea captain, with many amazing adventures along the way. Eventually he hires on a slaving expedition as captain, but he ends up remaining in West Africa helping to run and then running slave-exporting operations. This is circa 1810. He goes on well-described expeditions deep into interior Africa. After the slave trade is put out of business, he eventually writes his memoirs. They are well worth reading, they provide amazing insights into the cultures, mindsets, and economics surrounding the slave trade of that era. Very highly recommended. Cost is zip.
Thanks, I’ve downloaded it and it’s fascinating.
Too easy. Hang him until he’s not quite dead. Cut him down and disembowel him. Stuff his diseased genitals in his mouth before he dies. Toss the remains into a large pen of ravenously hungry wild hogs.
Sounds like the author read Canot’s book.
Yes, particularly the early parts recounting his youth and his capture by pirates after wrecking near Cuba.
