Ebola would engulf the continent of over a thousand million people, destroy it’s economy, kill millions and unleash millions of refugees on the rest of the world.....First it has no economy and if it killed millions it would not kill the rest of the innocent world. If the policy was ‘ No one in or out’ how would we unleash millions of refugees. We have militaries throughout the world that are told to DEFEND their countries.
Fantasy isn’t reality, and why would you want to condemn millions to death even in a fantasy?
I did NOT condemn them to death, their ignorance did. Why do YOU want to condemn the rest of the CIVIILiZED world to death? HMMMM?
Why do you want to try and engage people in arguments about your fantasies?
Why are are you wasting time on this nonsense, isn’t there something real related to Ebola that you can think of?
Ebola would engulf the continent of over a thousand million people, destroy its economy, kill millions and unleash millions of refugees on the rest of the world.....This is YOUR fantasy. What is mine?
Wouldn’t it be more rewarding to discuss realty?
Too much LYING to TRUST ANY Government and what they tell you.
Wouldnt it be more rewarding to discuss realty?..Actually, yes. I bought the house down the street to rent out (so I can pick and choose who lives there). Do you think it was a good buy?
Can’t say that I blame them. Those that do are heroes.
Nursing and heroism go together.
Long before we saw all these females in the military, I thought of nursing as the female version of soldiering, and still do.
I’m just curious, do you expect police officers to just stay on the job and be shot because they signed up for a dangerous profession? There job is to protect and serve but are they just supposed to not protect themselves and fire back?
It seems that is what you are asking health professionals to do. Look at all the health workers who donned PPE and still got infected and died. You said they were cowards essentially and that it would leave “everyone” exposed to catch it. I’m thinking instead of “everyone” you mean you.
You need to work on that post, it didn’t make much sense.
Maybe you need to work on comprehension. I think you need a health dose of reality.
The are a large number of health workers posting on the net that if Ebola gets going here they are either going to quit or send there families to relatives. It is not personal fear that drives them it is fear of infecting their family and friends. It is total insanity not to shut down air travel from hot Ebola Zones.
Texas Presbyterian Hospital has placed its emergency room on divert. News reports say it’s to take a “time out” to ensure everything is decontaminated.
That’s NOT what the doc said in the press or.
He said it was on divert because of staffing issues, and since it was on divert, they would work on decon, etc.
I wonder why DPH can’t find enough staff to keep its ER open?
As long as they show up for work they can send their families anywhere they want, what does that have to do with anything?
I would not show up for work. No frikking way.
I agree wholeheartedly with every word you wrote.
It's already happening en masse in Liberia. Doctors and nurses are getting the hell outta Dodge and leaving patients to fend for themselves. Sadly, many of these health care workers are probably already infected and don't know it yet.
That is easier to say than to do for Americans, and easier to say when it is theory and not reality.
If the situation ever reached such catastrophic levels, then most medical people would do what led them to devote their lives to medicine in the first place, they would show up to help, American nurses and doctors would not desert the sick in mass.
