Poll available at link. To summarize the results among likely voters:
KS Senate Race: Roberts (R) 49% Orman (I) 48%
KS Governor Race: Brownback (R) 49% Davis (D) 49%
It’s CNN, but the polling results for both those races have been so depressing lately that I’ll at least allow for some hope here.
That’s called the Palin effect. Here endeth the lesson.
The Democrats always poll better in Sept than in Oct.
I was suspecting this whole Orman ordeal was a little too good for Democraps to be true. While Roberts is going to end this year having had a very close call with both a primary and general challenger, he’ll be seated again after the Midterms.
It doesn’t look like Dems will be removing any Reps from office to be honest. Just a question of how many of their own seats they can hold.
No no no! She’s irrelevant. Palin is irrelevant!

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I knew this would start to turn around once the truth was learned about Orman!
I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s bad for business for news folk to report a coming landslide. They need a horse race finish to get viewers and they’re not even close to that in this election.
Thus I’m going to ignore them and pray for Nov.
WT% ??? I thought this was over ...
Sounds like the NBC Marist 10-pointer for Orman was an outlier. Glad to see saner heads starting to prevail in Kansas.
What strikes me (besides my wife and children, but that’s a separate issue :> ) is how few undecideds there are.
I notice the polling questions EXCLUDED mentioning the Losertarian candidates that are on the ballot for both governor and US Senate.
Losertarian candidates on the ballot usually take many more votes from the Republican candidate than they do from the main opponent. The Losertarian spoiler candidate could well cost the election of Roberts who is already a VERY weak candidate (particularly for an incumbent).
I hate to say it...I told so....but....I told you so!!! I never take any poll that is associated with either the Democrat Party scum or Republican establishment with an ounce of honesty. The polls only have some reverence about three days before the election date...when they are forced to report how a race really looks before the amjority of voters head to the polls!!!
While this is good news in that sometimes public polls become self fulfilling prophecies, I don’t think much of the polls this year and believe that this just demonstrates that both races in Kansas are very tight. The ads are flying at the moment and Roberts has finally started to fight back.
Turnout will decide the tale and you can be certain that the teachers’ union is going to put out a maximum effort to defeat Governor Brownback.
Will the GOPe get the message?
Doubt it.
Roberts wins by 6 pts
I think with the latest Ebola news is going to hurt the dems big time in November. A porous border, NO HELP from this adminstration, beheadings by ISIS and now Ebola deaths in America. All brought to you by a complete incompetant administration. Because people are blaming Obama for this know that ALL dems will circle the wagons and vote the party line, period.
Huh? Every other poll around the country shows a sizable number of people still undecided. Weird.
Good. I don’t like Roberts much at all, but the General Election is about keeping the Greater Evil out of power - and here the Greater (Greatest?) Evil is Harry Reid. We NEED that seat.
PLEASE, Kansas FReepers, get out and vote for this guy to stop Reid and Obama.
Cruz was there. Nice Conservative Bounce. ;-)
(Standing by for my GOPe FRiends’ attacks.....)
