Patients are currently being held inside the clinic as crews at the scene examine staff and others inside the building.

"The patient claims to have had contact with the Dallas 'patient zero,'" according to a statement from Dana Baird-Hanks, a spokeswoman with the city of Frisco.

Officials say a conference will be held at 3:30 p.m. (Central time)

They’re saying now that the new potential case was NOT in contact with Duncan, but did check one of the boxes about recent travel to West Africa.

This may be a new and unrelated case, or it could be a false alarm. Local presser set for 3:30, Dallas time.

Very cheap (and non-refundable) tickets.

Elephants, wildebeest, etc.Might even visit Obama’s brother in Nairobi.

Tickets bought before ebola hit the news. “

Elephants, Hildabeest, etc. Fixed it for you.

Scene 1: Plane lands in US, man debarks and walks into crowd, uses restroom, rents car.

Scene 2: Same man throwing up in his room. Takes self to emergency room. Sitting with many other people. Medical people: “Is it ebola?”

Scene 3: Man dies of ebola. Flash to all those faces of people who had come in contact with him.

Scene 4: Voice - “When you vote for those who support President Barack Obola, you vote for open borders, open disease.”

May be just a scared deputy sheriff with a sinus infection. Let’s hope it’s just good old Texas allergies.

How awful it must be to worry about exposure for 21 days. Hope the guy is OK.

Talk to your life or health insurance folks lately?
You covered for illness/death abroad? How about emergency return to USA if ill or injured for you and your healthy family members?

Check the State Dept Travel Advisories about the area you intend to visit, then read the ticket fine print.

You can always go to the zoo here. San Diego has a nice one.

Yup,we're buying travelers' health insurance for about $150 each which covers hospital care *and* evacuation to a civilized country (South Africa/Europe/US).

People inside the clinic told WFAA the deputy was doubled over, complaining of nausea and barely able to walk. Doesn’t sound like any sinus infection I’ve ever had.

No, it isn’t a hoax. It’s real, and being reported on Fox as we speak.

Why the heck did the deputies who entered Duncan’s apartment NOT wear protective gear? Or go inside at all for that matter ...

The patient is the deputy sheriff tasked with entering his apartment originally. He is NOT on the list of 46 people to be monitored for symptoms. Since he wasn’t on the list, he did what anyone else would do - go to the walk-in clinic.

He checked the box ‘yes’ on the question about coming into contact with a person that had ebola. Bystanders report him being doubled over in abdominal pain at the time.

He is being transported to a hospital in Dallas as we speak. The response at the Care Now facility was massive.

Frisco news conference Text via PANDEMIC FLU INFORMATION FORUM

Frisco press conference:

Dispatch based on CDC criteria. Training for this type of event.

Units on scene, made contact with CareNow. Our medical director on the scene.

Based on consultation with the staff we transported patient to TX Health Resoruces.

Patient reported they had been in apartment and had contact with family members.

After transport paramedics are currently being decontaminated.

Members from Denton County epidemiologists and CDC advising on proper decontamination. Medic unit still at hospital.

Mayor: We are being told the risk is minimal, taking actions to make sure public safety and welfare is protected. Being told by agencies that the risk is minimal but taking all precautions.

? Does patient think he has Ebola?

A: Based on screening criteria from CDC.

? Vomiting?

A: Signs CDC puts out of Ebola. Nausea, vomiting, headache. Patient was not experiencing all just a few.

? …

A: Person was in the apartment and had contact with family members of Dallas patient.

?

A: At CareNow there are PH officials and epidemiologists. Hopsital staff, doc and several nurses and people in waiting room have been released by dept. of PH. CareNow is now open.

? What were your thoughts?

A: FD has to be prepared for all emergencies. Used to dealing with the unexpected.

? Ebola??

A: There’s always a heightened awareness.

A: Patient is at TX Health Resources in Dallas. Doesn’t know occupation or residence.

We have calls in to CDC. Will get their recommendations on decontamination of ambulance. We deal with infectious diseases. We decontaminate these units all the time. We’re going to wait for they recommendations.

The hospital staff felt he met the preliminary guidelines and that’s why they called.

We are dealing with around 14 people. Staff and other people at clinic.

Our understanding they are *not* part of the 48 under PH surveillance for the Dallas patient. PH officials are interviewing the patients. Treating as low risk event.
