And its also an obvious audition for FOX News.
It wouldnt surprise me at all if Morgan started slowly popping up there with thought of eventually giving him a show. It sounds implausible, but its not like FOX News doesnt have even worse people sitting behind a desk.
Last night former CNN host Piers Morgan did something he never thought he’d do by sitting down for an interview at Fox News headquarters in New York City with Sean Hannity. Morgan is still set in his anti-Second Amendment views, but during the interview he offered a surprising critique of President Obama and gave extra criticism for recent comments he made on 60 Minutes blaming the intelligence community for failing to see the rise of ISIS in the Middle East
Morgan also slammed Obama for saying the Islamic State isn’t Islamic and for his callous decision to hit the golf course immediately after making a statement about the beheading of American journalist James Foley.
“ISIS clearly is an Islamic fundamentalist organization, its a terror group, and when they start beheading American and British citizens in these gruesome, snuff movies that they are making, and releasing them to the world, taunting, taunting these countries,” he said. “Its not good enough to simply say, yea Im really upset about this beheading, and then 7 minutes later as Obama did go to a golf course and be seen goofing around on the first tee. That really hit home to me.”
I predict this won’t be Morgan’s last appearance. That doesn’t mean he’ll get a gig, though I suspect his celeb connections would be tempting to the higher ups, but it does mean that he really isn’t going anywhere.
Cockroaches survive apocalypses really well.
Morgan’s tactic for getting a handle on a demographic is to seize on an issue. He’s switching from gun control, which he used to pander to liberals, over to a round of belated Obama bashing, over ISIS and Ebola, to pander to the right.
I assumed that he would head back to the UK. Instead he used his UK contacts to pick up a UK gig focused on the States. Despite all the sneering and bashing, it seems that Piers Morgan likes it here.
I’ve almost given up completely on FNC, this would constitute the last straw as far as I’m concerned.
A friend told me I should checkout One America News, but I would have switch cable providers to get it, been wanting to dump Comcast for awhile now, I would have to go to AT&T, some say it’s not any better or cheaper, don’t know it is worth the hassle.
colmes no longer contributes much, pretty boring guest.
Don’t tell us, send an email to Fox. I bet I sent 1000 emails about Colmes and Geraldo and they finally were able to figure it out.
I was getting sick of Gretchen Carlson, but I have to admit the Hasselback replacement has made the show worse. She’s not as smart as Carlson. Carlson’s feminist streak was really starting to show.
They need an upgrade in the AM. Outnumbered is a pretty good show. Harris Faulkner is the real deal. Total package.
They already got Whoraldo. They don’t need Morgan - at all.
This reminds me of Glenn Beck trying to get on CNN. Glenn made a left turn at the time.
I was hoping he would start taking long walks on short Piers.
Wow, WHAT A SLUUUUUT.....!!!
I would say Piers is a Trojan Horse. A liberal trying to dress up in Conservative clothing.
The Hussein Administration has made it clear that they do not care about the will of the people by refusing to deport Piers Morgan (as over 109,000 signatures attests to). Fox News continues to prove itself as a left-wing outlet.
Does anyone have the video where (soccer?) balls were repeatedly kicked into Piers Morgan’s face? He needs to get hit in the face more often.
RE: Nice try Piers, but nobody is buying crazy today.
So why is Al Franken favored to win in Minnesota?
He’s so objectionable. His show will fail.
We rarely watch Fox News now. We get the news online, where we don’t have to watch their dismal collection of anchors. There is no credible TV network for hard news.

Unless it’s a show featuring Jeremy Clarkson punching him repeatedly in the face everyday, then it’s not worth it.
Maybe there’s a swap in the works. How about Piers Morgan for Jehmu Greene?
Send him to Venezuela or if he behaves, Mexico.
I’ve already started changing the channel. First, where is the news on Fox News? No matter what, they keep to their schedule of talking head shows, and more and more, these shows feature a bunch of libs and conservatives just shouting at each other. If I wanted to watch liberals, I would tune in to MSNBC. Fox is losing it’s appeal.
I have wondered if the government has Murdoch over a barrel after the whole email scandal. Are they promising to leave him alone if he lightens up on them? Hmmm....
Well hallelujah! I had lost my stomach for Hannity and had not watched him for over a year. Now I know why....and now it’s permanent. Buh-bye Sean!
You know stuff's hitting the fan when Fox is referred to as FAUX news, on FR! =)
Yes, thats funny. And funny, its how I feel about it. Too much fluff and not enough content. Stopped watching O'Reilly when he bashed the Swift Boat guys in an effort to get Kerry on his show (now, thats going back a few years now...) and stopped watching altogether about the time Beck left.
Get most of my news right here, which leaves me a few real blind spots, I have no idea what goes on in my own town. (I figure if its important, I'll hear about it at the coffee shop...)
