Bill OReilly put former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta on the hot seat tonight, and repeatedly grilled him on whether President Obamas foreign policy has been effective or a failure. Panetta insisted to OReilly that he doesnt doubt Obamas commitment to fighting Americas enemies, theres just a question of whether hes made the right decisions in carrying out that fight.
For example, Panetta says Obama did support providing a troop presence of thousands in Iraq, as he and others recommended, but the issue was how hard did he fight to make it happen.
OReilly asked Panetta why it feels like the Obama administration is taken by surprise in almost everything. Panetta said that since hes left the White House, Obama has learned the importance of fighting ISIS, to which OReilly responded, Oh, bull.
When OReilly pressed Panetta for a straight answer on whether Obamas foreign policy is an effective one, Panetta hesitated. He preferred to blame mixed messages from the White House as opposed to strong leadership from the previous few years.

Paneta was a pathetic Obama boot licker - he took back most of what he said in his book
It’s never too late to expose Obama and draw negative attention to him.
You’re right that O’Reilly has taken too long to get to that point.
Bush and Cheney knew all about Obama in 2007. All we got was a nasty look from Cheney at the inauguration.
“Very influential people now fear total collapse of our country. Brace for that.
Anyone surprised by this? It was planned out some time ago - too little too late!
And now they realize they’re also in for a rough landing.
I agree. OReilly was pretty tough on him but like Dana Perrino said I would have asked him why he didnt resign.
Good for her.
Dana Perrino has defended GW Bush more than he’s ever defended himself.
well ain’t that truth but in the end-at the time Hitlary was Sec of State so it ultimately rests upon her shoulders.
Panetta is just trying to soften the blow and that is so evil in itself. He’s no better than Obama nor Hitlary-he’s complicit in this matter , too, I sure.
I’m sticking with Momus.
” without coming right out and saying it in so many words”
so it just goes over the head of 70 per cent of americans.
“I agree. OReilly was pretty tough on him but like Dana Perrino said I would have asked him why he didnt resign.”
you know, I watch oreilly off and on. I stopped watching regularly when it seemed to me he never asked the real tough questions. then I realized you can only go so far and still be in a position like his. lets say he asks such a question. that’s putting someone in a very difficult position.
well, both panneta and oreilly are looking for something here, almost as if they were in cahoots. oreilly wants ratings, panetta wants exposure. to ask an unanswerable question labels you as someone who cant book any guests.
in other words, he can only go so far.
Where was Blowhard O’Blowhard when he had his one on one with Soetoro? Throwing softballs.
Obama is one of the enemy in his evil heart and soul!!! He is effectively working to destroy the United States of America, with each passing day!!! Will you be one, that votes to destroy the entire Democrat Party on November 4, 2014, or, will you continue to stand by and do nothing.....but let Obama & His “Obamabot” Democrat Party, complete his, hateful, willful, determined destruction of our once, great nation??? What say you???
Bill has zero credibility or standing to criticize obama. He’s been bowing to him since he took office.
If you see a 30-50% market correction, and a spike in unemployment, any connection with Obama in November 2016 will be toxic. And Hitlerly knows this.
And global collapse, under the triple threats of disease, unsustainable economic debts and the out of control wars fueled by idiotic regime change. And what are those very influential people doing?....well, figure out how to work it to their benefit.
Another truth that needs to be clarified, Paneatta claimed to have got the order to do everything possible to save the Personal in Benghazi at the 5pm meeting, but the order was given “when we received that phone call” that would have been 3:40pm:
TRANSCRIPT: Presidential debate on foreign policy at Lynn University

Now with respect to Libya, as I indicated in the last debate, when we received that phone call, I immediately made sure that, number one, that we did everything we could to secure those Americans who were still in harms way
Initial phone call to Washington:
http://www.state.gov/r/pa/prs/ps/2012/10/198791.htm
SENIOR STATE DEPARTMENT OFFICIAL:...I neglected to mention from the top that that agent from the top of this incident, or the very beginning of this incident, has been on the phone. He had called the quick reaction security team, he had called the Libyan authorities, he had called the Embassy in Tripoli, and he had called Washington.
Also, being Panetta acknowledges getting an order to to do everything possible to save the Personal in Benghazi, though he didn’t tell the truth about when the order was given but;
Then just what did you do, Defense Secretary Panetta?
And if the order was given the order was given when we received that phone call from Behngazi, isn’t Panetta part of the chain of command, and why didn’t he know it was given 1 hour and 20 minutes earlier?
That’s actually the type that has full credibility to turn and begin criticizing.
Not in my book. Bill has been kissing Obama behind since day one.
It’s said that Grilled Panetta often goes with a Black & White whine....
