What we know about transmission of the Ebola virus among humans
WHO ^ | Oct 6, 2014

Posted on 10/06/2014 7:24:41 PM PDT by Ray76

The Ebola virus is transmitted among humans through close and direct physical contact with infected bodily fluids, the most infectious being blood, faeces and vomit.

The Ebola virus can also be transmitted indirectly, by contact with previously contaminated surfaces and objects. The risk of transmission from these surfaces is low and can be reduced even further by appropriate cleaning and disinfection procedures.

Ebola virus disease is not an airborne infection.

Per FR’s ‘Obola’ experts you can only get it if you have sex with a infected person for three days and the eat their brain while standing on the equator.

You forgot the full moon part./sarc The scary thing is how many people can have symptoms for a while and think it is something far less sinister. In Dallas even the hospital didn't recognize Ebola based just on the symptoms.

That only applies if the full moon occurs on a day that starts with a ‘T’ I believe. ;-)

....."Once you get out onto the land you learn that tribalism is still the backbone...... their culture is one where the chiefs will mess up anyone who poses a threat to their power...."

Sounds like Middle East countries still today, and this despite their wealth, which is controlled by a few. Te same will happen in Africa once they start raping the country...only a few will gain from the wealth. The mindset of the people will remain.

Take a look at Haiti and that's about as far as you can expect them to go if that. Most continue to practice voo-doo and all the mind bending junk they brought from Africa with them.....and they do so when they come here to the states as well.

Overall the nation isn't going to change much...

The rate that it’s spreading in Africa doesn’t jive with it being hard to catch.

Exactly! All we have been hearing for months is how it is spreading like wildfire. So is everybody urinating on each other in Africa?

She was probably exposed upon removing the contaminated gloves. It appears that contaminated objects are infectious, it follows that casual unprotected contact with the infected (touching them) can spread it.

This is what I have been wondering about. So if your are by your self and can't get sprayed down with virus killer, how do you get stuff off without contamination? Everyone in the US will need a course protective gear protocol.

No one ever mentions that Ebola is also a sexually transmitted disease.

Want to have sex honey, just ignore the blood running from my eyes, nose and butt.

I didn’t get it.

My 96 year old friend did.

I took care of her 24/7.

So much extra work, everytime you do something.

If she scrubbed her teeth I bleached and alcoholed the sink to ensure a casual user wouldn’t have it transmitted.

your observations are entirely accurate.

As is the explanation of the regressive Afro Ameircans who relate to their normal African selves.

Too bad the falkers, soooooo many of them do not want to integrate. They just want to “live off the fat of the land” , dealing drugs, jacking and having a chip on for whitey.

No one understands racism like the black.
That is the basis for genocides....all so common in Africa!
Regressive.
Its very similar to importing poverty...

Does anyone knows if a person’s immune system plays a role? There are folks that have either a weak or strong immune and hiw that may play a role whether one gets ebola or any other virus.

Chicory:" What does HCW mean?"

Health Care Worker- could mean doctor (generally applied to nurse , nurse aide, candy-striper volunteer)

In a recent article (Washington Times?) there was a clinic set up expressly for Ebola patients in Liberia. 23 of the 25 trained care-givers got it and died. Granted their situation was probably not as well supplied as in the U.S. - but it isn’t only the people having a drink after touching the cup to the deceased person’s lips either. (I think that custom was mentioned in the same article).

Ebola virus disease is not an airborne infection.

"AIRBORNE"

The 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic, 1918 – 1920 (seventy percent of cases October-December, 1918), infected more than 100,000 people in its first month and 500 million people across the world in 24 months, including remote Pacific islands and the Arctic, and killed 50 to 100 million of them. That was airborne.

The 2014 Ebola outbreak is out of control, but it has "only" infected 8,000 known cases and an estimated 15,000 to 30,000 individuals in the ten months since the first known case in December, 2013. It can be spread at comparatively low risk through the air, but the primary means of spread is through physical contact with the patient or with bodily fluids on a surface (gloves, floor, skin, etc.). "Not airborne" doesn't mean it can't spread through the air, not to the CDC/WHO, just that it is primarily spread through other means.

I would like to hear some medical definitions of “airborne”

Exactly. My take from reading as much as I can from countless news article to "The Hot Zone", is that the medical field has a different definition of the word "airborne", than that of the average man-on-the-street.

The problem with this is that while people in the medical profession understand their own jargon, those of us out here in patient-land, think it means something else.

I worry that people are being misled by a technical definition.

Want to see the upshot of this WHO "revelation"? Watch the movie:

CONTAGION

and you will get a handle on what we have to look forward to and it isn't pretty.

CONTAGION is probably one of the finest, most accurate, non sensationalized examples of the realities of the spread of the disease, WHO, and government ineptitude and impotence in fighting a disease of this magnitude along with the real-world short-term, long-term ramifications and social upheaval of this kind of contagious outbreak ever put on film.

As scary as it is, it doesn't even come close to presenting the horrors of Ebola (highly contagious toxic vomit, diarrhea feces, sweat, spittle, sneeze droplets and massively infected blood literally liquifying internal organs, pooling under the skin and oozing/pouring out of EVERY orifice of the infected persons body including the pores of their skin! Multiply this scenario by THOUSANDS, TENS OF THOUSANDS AND THEN MILLIONS of infected people spread out in "hot zones" all over the world and you begin to get a handle on how seriously life threatening Ebola really is to all of us in spite of the ongoing lies coming out of Obama's mouth, the CDC, the MSM and that of the WHO that there is "nothing to worry about".

The take away from the film CONTAGION is this: the government can not protect or provide for you or your family. You MUST take matters into your own hands and BE PREPARED AHEAD OF TIME (including weapons to defend yourself) because the CDC, WHO and governments of the world will lie about the seriousness of the CONTAGION until it is WAY too late in order to keep the population in the infected areas under control to avoid "panic" and further spread of the contagion.

Then, when they can no longer keep the secret of how seriously deadly things really are their ONLY recourse is to declare martial law, quarantine whole cities and areas of the country (after they and their loved ones have been warned in advance to flee and gotten out), preventing anyone and everyone else from leaving the already infected areas by military force. Let the people in infected areas "fend for themselves" until the contagion finally burns itself out and keep the precious vaccine, once finally created, for the politically connected and important/influential "Élites" until enough vaccine can eventually be manufactured so that a vaccine lottery can be eventually established for the masses/"little people".

If you don't get a low number in their arbitrary "vaccine lottery of life", you have a slim chance of survival and its "adios muchachos".

Like I said; watch the movie CONTAGION and prepare in advance while there is still time do do so.
