Article V Marriage Amendment needs 36 states to propose, 38 states to ratify.

There are 38 states in support now.

You think there are 38 states that would ratify a Marriage Amendment? Now? Maybe 10 years ago, but not a chance today.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong but I don't think there are 38 states in support of gay marriage. I think those 38 states had the will of the people overturned.

Well, that count is less than clear. Furthermore, some of those are LibTard states that in no way will restrict this. They will expand it.

I’ve said and I say again ... an Article V convention would be an unmitigated disaster ... for Conservatism.

The people of Virginia, and their elected representatives, enshrined traditional marriage into the state constitution to protect it from the attacks of the left.

Two Democrats were able to short circuit our legal system and overturn the will of the people, forcing gay marriage on Virginia.

The trick is that only the Governor and the Attorney General have legal standing to defend the state constitution, and they refused to do their sworn duty. This forced a default judgement in favor of the activist group that was all teed up to file suit as soon as these two assumed office. The Virginia case did not discuss the merits of the argument, it was entirely one-sided. The AG went so far as joining those opposing the constitution, and refusing to appoint any counsel to serve in defense of the constitution.

It wasn’t a trick really, but simply a traitorous act against the State constitution, for which the AG should be impeached and disbarred. But he wasn’t.

That is how this tyranny was imposed in Virginia.

Already covered in Amendment X. Unfortunately, the Court isn’t using the Constitution as a basis of law.

Article V ping!

WE THE PEOPLE ARE THE SOVEREIGN.

When Federal Courts assume power to rewrite state constitutions to require homo marriage, what further outrage is necessary? There is nothing to lose and everything to gain with an Article V convention to propose amendments.

We absolutely need a battery of amendments!

For safer borders too.

And for a new elected body whose only job is to initiate spending cuts and mandate debates if congress tries to veto them.

For more state power regarding education and law enforcement innovations. [Maybe give congress veto power after sufficient debates rake over establishment congress critters.]

For a mandatory debate system that puts nutty professors and activist judges on the hot plate.

And YES — for banning any redefinitions of MARRIAGE! [God willing, I'll flesh out these ideas more after this important election.]
