To: Vendome; scouter My wife just flew into Newark from Brussels. Been waiting on the plane for 1 1/2 hours now to deplane. Medical emergency onboard with a passenger vomiting.
They have to wait for the CDC to come interview the person before they can leave.
Consider travel plans carefully.

I’m sorry I don’t understand: did the authorities instruct your wife to stay at home? Did they tell her they would be keeping all the passengers informed about the test results on the passenger now being tested? IS the passenger being tested?

In the pictures you linked to, check out the man lifting the gurney. He has his protective coveralls on but his hands are not protected. I can see his wedding ring. Hope he doesn’t touch himself after handling the gurney.
Please excuse me, I read this thread bit may have missed it: how do we know there is no Ebola threat here? Isn’t this passenger who vomited from Liberia?
All of your posts downplay the seriousness off this issue.
It’s starting to look like zero is importing thousands of Liberians also through return flights of our carriers taking our soldiers there, and Duncan was not expected to get infected.

Two, and we are toast. Their constituent class of voters was to greedy/ignorant to realize their Messiah is not interested in their survival and doesn’t work for The United States of America. He works for Mexico, the Islamic Caliphate, etc. They don’t realize their votes for this clown is their own undoing.

If you listen to what the guy said, (pay no attention to the newsy babe) he said that the man had a problem with his eyes that made him dizzy, some hour later, he was told that the man had a easily treatable medical issue and there was no ebola threat.
But I gotta tell you that you would never know this by reading the replies on this thread.

yeah I get the immigration link..I have no doubt that the enterovirus outbreak that started in the Midwest along the interstate hyway system, was likely brought in by this load of minors that Obama allowed in. They also probably brought a slew of other diseases, as they have no immunization programs..

But I don’t think the Liberians, are in the same category. But yes, they are being issue Visa’s. so they are being allowed in.. However, it seems to me that rather than the usual illegal border crosser, they are getting Visas as refugees..

The man and his daughter were rushed to University Hospital in Newark, while investigators with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention held passengers on the plane for nearly 90 minutes.
University Hospital spokeswoman Tiffany Smith said the man was actually suffering from a “minor, treatable condition unrelated to Ebola.” The man and his daughter were released from the hospital Saturday evening.

Ok thanks. I read the local NBC affiliate report too now. I guess his condition has been identified to be positively not Ebola by some other methods.
I hate to be paranoid but really, I think if we are going to continue to let Liberians and other West Africans in this country and they get sick traveling here or shortly after arrival they should ALL be tested. No matter what. It seems crazy to me to not test any person exhibiting symptoms similar to Ebola when they are from those countries.
I guess we just have to trust the disease was ruled out somehow at this point.

yep and we are going to know more later, one would pray. There has been so much surrounding this obama character and his minions that should have left a taste of heck in everyone’s mouths but ... many still worship the obama. Wonder how long God will allow that to be?

My own opinion is that you can’t prevent the flights, as these are connecting flights from other countries, (Not Liberia) but you can flag the passports, perhaps keep those who may have had contact with infected people in quarantine for 3 weeks..if it seems likely they were in Monrovia, for example, or that they may not be telling the truth.
