Health officials were called to Newark Liberty International Airport to meet a plane on the runway Saturday, after a passenger began vomiting while en route from Brussels, officials said.
Officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention were on their way to meet the plane Saturday afternoon after it landed at Gate 54, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The plane, United Airlines Flight 998, was carrying 255 people, according to the Port Authority.
The incident comes amid concerns that the outbreak of Ebola in West Africa could be spread by international travelers. The first person diagnosed with Ebola in the United States went to a Dallas hospital last week but was mistakenly sent home, despite revealing he was visiting from Liberia. U.S. health care officials have said the American health system is equipped to prevent an outbreak in the U.S.

CDC remove 2 from Newark flight after possible Ebola scare
CDC officials have removed passengers from a plane that landed in Newark Saturday afternoon following a possible Ebola scare.
United flight 998 from Brussels landed at Newark Airport and has been met by Centers for Disease Control officials based in Newark after passengers on board, believed to be from Liberia, exhibited possible signs of Ebola. The passenger was displaying flu-like symptoms.
The flight was scheduled to land around noon.
Officials with the CDC removed two passengers from the plane. A man had been traveling with his daughter and both were removed by a CDC crew in full HAZMAT gear.
The airline issued a statement confirming that crew needed to assist an ill customer. “Upon arrival at Newark Airport from Brussels, medical professionals instructed that customers and crew of United flight 988 remain on board until they could assist an ill customer. We are working with authorities and will accommodate our customers as quickly as we can,” said a statement from the airline.”
Why would they even allow it to land?...........

Bring Out Your Dead
Were gonna need
a bigger cart!
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Once it’s in the air, it’s pretty much going to end up on the ground?
We're still waiting for Malaysian Air 370 to land somewhere.
When your fever runs high...hop a plane to the sky...
That’s Ebola.
You start to sweat blood...and are dripping with crud...
Thats Ebola.
Your fever runs high...and you puke pizza pie...
Thats Ebola.
Thats Ebola.
If this guy is found to have Ebola, the airline industry is done for.
The airlines themselves should voluntarily start refusing to fly to these countries or accept anyone on their planes with a visa from these countries or a Visa Stamp that is less than 3 weeks old.
If they wait for the CDC or the Obama Administration to tell them to do this, they will all be out of business before Christmas.
When youre asked by FBI, be sure to deny, that way you won't die....
Thats Ebolaaaaaa
You just say your black.....and Obama has your back......and then they wont send you back....
Thats Ebolaaaaaa.
Your fever runs high, you puke out your eye, but you get to kill the white guys......
Thats Ebolaaaaaaaa.

Need a picture of Dean Martin to go with it.
